About this listen
Lola Sexton is the writer behind Sex Says, a successful relationship column at the San Francisco Times. She's a pro at advising others on their love lives, but if there's one thing she isn't in the market for, it's love. Reed Luca is a wanderer and a jack of all trades. He doesn't believe happiness comes from a nine-to-five job, or that success is delivered through a paycheck. But opportunity often finds its way to those who aren't looking. When Reed signs up to write an anti-Sex Says relationship column, the result is all-out war.

Great book
Great book with funny characters, light story.
I didn’t know what to expect but this book was a great companion on the drive to work or doing home chores.

hilarious and well written
I chose this quickly because l couldn't be bothered to scroll and I wasn't sure it would be much good (judging it by its title and cover). I am so glad I did. I adored the characters - they are so interesting and well-written. even the minor characters are likeable. Not a huge amount happens, but it doesn't get dull or repetitive. it's really funny and entertaining. the narrators are both brilliant. there couldn't have been anyone more perfect.

I love max monroe and her books really .. but this one .. boke
Why do I imeagine him as one of those weird self made ‘alpha males’ on TikTok.. absolutely delusional … just so weird … and Lola .. like seriously.. what the heck is wrong with her .. I haven’t cringed at book so much like EVER. Sorry Max .. like honestly, your books are the highlight of my day honestly.. but this one ……. But sure it’s just me! Loads of people like it.. each to their own.
Outstanding narration though

I hated the hero
When it comes to CR, Max Monroe is up there on my list of favs but this story fell short for me because of the hero mainly. I don't know if it was his smoking, smugness, being a vagabond or just being a general ahole stalker. Even though the hero goes through a transformation because of love (supposedly), I still hated him at the end and in the epilogue.
Don't get me wrong, I love me a reformed bad boy story but this isn't it. This dude moved me to violence against a fictional character. I wanted the heroine to just run... girl, run far far away from him. Big Ol' Red Flags!!!!
