Exceptional performances
I found it to be a little tame in places. We are now many years on from the ground breaking Nancy Friday book, and yet it seems we’ve become more conservative.

Fascinating
I think audiobook was probably not the best way to read this. The limited range of voices that were quite distinct just didn’t suit the wildly different stories.
Loved the intro to each section & how they were divided.

Good for bedtime or on holiday
Not really what I thought it was going to be. I thought it would be more about feminism and power. The stories were good but a bit repetitive but enjoyed Gillian Anderson's introduction to each chapter would have liked this expanded. Overall enjoyed it.

Powerful, but runs long

A bit meh
Not sure what I expected but I wasn’t massively impressed by this book. I didn’t continue to listen to it all. I found the stories were presented too seriously and with a sadness or shame.
