Summary
夏も盛りの、ある日のこと。 気温が高すぎて、十分な運動を確保できない。すると、だんだん体調が悪くなってくる。だから、多少暑くても、がまんして少しでも走ろうと思った。 夏の真ん中は、奇妙な季節。至るところに生きものの気配に充ちているようでいながら、不思議に「死」の影が忍び寄ってきている。森の中を走り抜ける時、そこかしこの葉っぱの上に、セミの抜け殻が果実のように「放置」されているのを見た。 飛んでいる蝶も、トンボも、ハチも、どこか、抜け殻のような透明な影を引きずっているようにも感じられる。今、こうして走っている自分も、何度も季節が回ったその後では、抜け殻のようになってしまうのだろう。 気温が高いので、少し走っただけで、汗が噴き出す。水道のところで、蛇口からすくって、身体にかける。すぐに乾いてしまうだろうけれども、無いよりはましだ。 森の脇を通っている細い道を走って、向こう側に抜けようとした、その時のことだった。土の上に、緑の点があった。なんだろう、と足を緩めると、点が、ふわっとかたまりへと変化した。(本文より） 茂木健一郎の「樹下の微睡み」はこちらから→http://yakan-hiko.com/mogi.html
