About this listen
Ryan Stone can’t wait to put his toes in the sand at the famous Bondi Beach. When he arrives after a flight that was far too long, having not slept or eaten, all he can do is stare out at the beautiful expanse of white sand and blue ocean in awe. And when a blond guy asks him to play footy, he agrees, even if he doesn’t know for sure what that is.
Ollie Hughes thinks a day at the beach is just what he needs to take his mind off work. When he sees the cute but rumpled guy sitting by himself in the sand, he’s drawn to him. The more time they spend together, the less he wants the day to end. They end up spending a few days together, those few days turn into weeks, and neither is ready for their time together to end.
A lot of chemistry and a little bit of luck make for an interesting day at the beach that both men are reluctant to end. Time and distance could be their biggest obstacle, but maybe some things are just meant to be. #meetcute #vacationromance #mmromance

Simple instalove story
Ryan, from America, travels to Australia and meets Ollie within hours of landing in Sydney and starting his adventure.
These two are well-developed characters, and I love Ollie's relationship with his parents.
It's great that in today's world you can work from anywhere in the world and travel at the same time. So many young people are doing just this in real life. I just wish I was 20 years younger.
This is a lovely instalove romance between two young men. I always get a great read from BL Maxwell. Highly recommend.
The narration was very clear, but I did need to speed up considerably to 1.50 on audible. But I tend to speed up most narrators.

Insta-love
Sweet story and interesting travelogue of Australia. Great if you want a really low angst story! I didn’t like the narrator’s voice for this. He sounded hoarse and strained to me. I speeded it up slightly which I don’t usually do.

Insta-love, zero angst, cute and sweet!
Gah! I both love it and hate it whenever BL Maxwell writes a “destination” book. I hate it because it just makes me want to book a ticket to whatever place she’s writing about (this time’s Australia, but it has been Mexico, Sturgis…). At the same time I love it because she has an enthusiastic way of writing about these places, having her characters do wonderful road trips and sightseeing that is really breathtaking.
This book is the stuff of dreams for at least half the young adults I know. Going to Australia on a visa and meeting the love of your life there! That’s what happens to Ryan, who meets Ollie on his very first day there.

Short and sweet
Super cute instalove connection between Ryan and Ollie.
A chance meeting between the two turns into Ollie showing Ryan the wonders of down under.
As they get to know one another, heat and passion soon turn into something hopefully everlasting.
Guy Veryzer is not a well known narrator to me but he did a decent job bringing these characters to life.

Insta-love and a cute story.
I really enjoyed this story. Guy Veryzer will never be my favorite narrator but I’m starting to get used to his voice and I think he did a decent job with this story.
I never mind insta-love stories and this was a really good one. Ryan and Ollie hit it off right away and Ollie invites Ryan to stay with him. The relationship builds quickly and they decide to set off on an adventure camping. Ryan only has three months on his Visa and will have to return to the US when it runs out. After a HFN at the end of chapter 24 we get a great epilogue set 3 years later.
