About this listen
Gingerbread hot chocolates, festive songs on the radio and the glow of fairy lights. What's not to love about Christmas?
Schoolteacher Sophie Lawson has fled to the Cotswold countryside after a tragic break-up and is throwing herself into dating and organising Cranswell's annual Christmas concert.
The festive fun is marred by the arrival of a handsome but surly musical director, tricky pupils and concert preparations falling into disarray. Disaster strikes, but the show must go on. Will the concert bring Christmas harmony to Cranswell and will Sophie end the year on a high note?

A cracker of a Christmas book!
This is a wonderful story full of festive cheer. It is a great book for the season, full of all of the little touches surrounding Christmas, whilst also addressing some difficult family issues in a sensitive way. I really enjoyed the audio version and felt the narrator did a great job at bringing the characters alive. A fantastic debut novel and I am looking forward to reading the next book by this author.

A Perfectly Pitched Christmas Romance
This title took me completely by surprise, I thoroughly enjoyed it! I was immediately drawn to both, the musical and teaching aspects of the plot. I actually became quite invested in Sophie and Liam's relationship. This is a good story that is very well paced. In future, I will definitely look out for more books written by Helen Hawkins.
