Very interesting book about some very interesting clergy
After meeting the Arthur on placement before he came accurate, it’s just like him it’s funny, informative and interesting and I look forward to reading the next book

What a godly shower.......
I stumbled onto this by accident on a Sunday morning, how appropriate (or not not given some of the characters present) and bought it by accident. Oh goodness!!! What a treat this is. The narrator sounds like he is having trouble not laughing at various points and I could have done with his control when on the bus.
Some of these men are just horrendous, some should have been locked up, all of them would have been a sore trial (in one way or another) to family, friends and parishioners and one was actually hanged. I am sure it must have been so hard to pick the subjects of the book, but the author has done a good job and I was surprised that I had actually heard of more than one of them.
This book is a little gem, doesn't matter what you think about religion (in fact its probably better if you don't think about religion at all) and I have already listened to it again.
Thoroughly recommended.

Anthology of colourful Anglican clerics
Don’t expect Trollopian gentle eccentrics. These clergymen are the crème de la crème, entertainingly and often affectionately portrayed in short chapters, from curates to Archbishops, academics and headmasters, some well known others obscure.
