About this listen
Private Detective Angie Stallone opens her fledgling agency in the quaint town of Buxton, North Carolina on the Outer Banks. Struggling to establish a credible business, she teams up with local bookstore owner Mee Mee Roberts to solve a cold case from the 1960s.
Their investigation leads them to a remote island in the middle of the Currituck Sound. The evidence they dig up opens a door to membership in a strange cult that meets in one of the old beach houses along Nags Head's Historic Cottage Row. The recent death of a cult member raises new questions. Was it murder? Is the cold case connected to the recent death? If so, who's next?
A compelling thriller, A Nags Head Murder will keep you on the edge of your seat and looking forward to the next book in the series.

Good!
Western Wolf's ex secretary/partner stars in this the first of a new Series. Angie Stillone has set up as a private detective and after an enquiry sets out to visit Monkey Island and her life changes drastically. She's married and her husband an policeman in his own right supports her through thick and thin. The narration is superb as would be expected from the talented Cathi Colas who really brings the book to life. Highly recommended. *****
I was kindly given a copy of this book by the author and leave this honest review.

Engaging female PI mystery
I thoroughly enjoyed this tale, it is a continuation of the 'Outer Banks' detective series by the same author, except that it features Angie Stallone who was Weston Wolf's partner in those books.
If anything I think that this book is better than the Weston Wolf books, mainly I think because I prefer Angie to Weston. In this story she is engaged to investigate the possible murder of a native American on a remote island.
She gets involved in a very twisted mystery involving crystal skulls, and snakes. Despite finding herself pregnant she doesn't back down from some very exciting and dangerous situations, and finds that an organisation around the skulls is a lot more than it appears to be.
I really liked the narration, Cathi Colas is obviously very talented and brings the story to life.
