Brought clarity to my awakening experience

Fascinating
I could relate to so much of the book, my awakening had already begun, without realising, this helped me understand what and why. I would love a version for my teenage daughter, although I hope she will learn as she sees me trusting my own voice.

Life changing
I’ve been on a deep healing journey for many years, looking for answers, trying to understand, searching for ways to fix my issues.
I’ve had therapy and I’m studying to be a therapist.
Many of the topics Dr Shefali discusses in this book are ones I have come to an understanding of naturally on my journey but hearing her affirm and confirm my realisations, my aha moments, has been profoundly liberating. Plus I have learned heaps more!
This is the kind of book that we need to gift to women in our lives because it is truly transformational. I will save a copy for when my daughter is older but I also want my sons to read it.
I would recommend you read this while journaling each chapter, each of the realisations you will have, the triggers, the discomfort, the reflections because through this process you will come to a place of not only rediscovering who you were before life/society/culture conditioned you, but of a rebirth into the fresh new you who has shed the old skin that was too small, too tight, too suffocating and by the end of the book, have grown a new stronger, shiny one.
I listened to this on Audible and found Dr. Shefali’s voice soothing, gentle, clear, warm. I’m glad I listened to it now.

Hooked straight away I was ready for this book!
