Summary

In A Royal Duty, Paul Burrell reveals the truth about Princess Diana, as well as a faithful account of her thoughts. He was the favourite footman who formed a unique relationship with the Queen. He was the butler who the Princess of Wales called "my rock" and "the only man I can trust". He was accused of theft, then acquitted following the historic intervention of the monarch. He was the Princess' most intimate confidant - and may be the only person able to separate the myth from the truth of the Diana years.

A very nice book 📕

I never got this book for years as I always thought you was wrong writing it about Diana then thought I would after this long I was wrong as you only said about your life working for the royal family but it makes me think why the hell none of the royals stepped in sooner to the court case I think many people thought you took things till they get this book and finding out how Diana gave you things this was a good book to clear your name good luck in life Paul be happy 😊

Amazing journey

Beautifully narrated ! Paul lets you actually feel like you the reader were present and part of his life with his mother and family to the inner world at Buckingham Palace and in Diana's home and life ! He doesn't reveal all the secrets of course and I think holds back some real feelings towards some (especially after the trial) But in all was a real insight to his amazing career and life !

well done ,Paul. The truth stranger than fiction .

having had a Father in the household division who taught me the Royal protocol my heart bled for you. Your truth brought a vision one which will never fade.I met Francis Diana as a child being a child myself friends forever. My father working for Lord Stafford, can she come and stay the little girl pleaded to the rather auster lady, well not really (I being peasant and she a lady) I remember ❤ her mother and its such a big house in need of,interrupted by its not a big house anyway we are the servants! the exclamation From the austere lady was they lived in a small part of the house. My mum washing the hands and face of the little girl she was so hot it was summer and reminded me eh! bigun my nickname ...never knew why , My Father we had to count the silver cutlery after large dinners I met the Queen and Prince Phillip P Margaret and L Snowden visitors to Lord Staffordshire Estate visiting the estate buying China for z dinner service for P Margaret and had called to see the very large shires he ran and showed Paul I was nine ! I read your excellent book the pain at the end made me wonder if I had not damaged my back and had gone to follow my Fathers dream, the army Royal Service perhaps I would have been you (lol) No Paul, the lady needed you ! Never forget Paul it wasn't a disturbed mind or you praying on a vulnerable girl that meant she shared her life with you and yours but a need to belong . Reading your book I became bereft, I grieved for a little girl,my mum and dad have passed so my childhood swilled around me ,who would believe I a nobody had s childhood like that! whom did I thin I was keeping a crucifix as big as Westminster abbys ,and bowing to the pictures I have of queen, and my family! Paul would, my son smiled sure would mam,he laughed . So would Paul Burrell for he too is blessed with the name of the Apostle, mum love Paul 💘 please write another book , Perhaps you have had enough, so your book was excellent on all counts . May God bless and keep you 🙏 and yours May the godess of the creatures of the night and oof he forest rest in peace . Dad dad why? here we go he said because they are not like you 🙄 you are different you know better you were brought up different but shouldn't God step in my crys when yet another deer rabbitt, was found in a trap.So.iI studied ! you can catch my Facebook profile lol who lever heard of a girl who wanted to be s priest, reading Tsrot cards and speaking to dead people why Diana Spencer of course, will you will you please be my forever friend say yes just say it go on .....and as he slipped the ring from her finger she passed with dignity at peace at last for forever is a very long time isn't it Paul she says just know Iam with you for God is with you always, and Mother of the earth took me home because I was hers and hers alone x forgive the typos, I did proof reading but as always can't find my eyes ern glasses ....love 💘 😻
