About this listen
A TIMELESS FALCON DUAL TIMELINE SERIES:
VOLUME THREE: A Turbulent Crown
Follow the time-travelling Tudor adventures of Beth Wickers. Perfect for fans of Dan Brown, Philippa Gregory, Kate Mosse, and Tom Harper.
Beth Wickers, back home and with the time-slip behind her, is busy preparing for her PhD. However, once again, she’s forced to return to Tudor England to rectify the history, but also to reconnect with the secret love of her life, George Boleyn. Things don’t go to plan, though, and she finds herself time-slipping to the Tower of London in 1536, where she witnesses an execution that sends her slipping back three years with an overwhelming dilemma: should she step beyond the strict warning of Professor Marshall not to meddle in the lives of the Tudors, or just keep her counsel, knowing her beloved George and dear friend Anne will go to their horrific deaths as history intends?
Follow Beth as she witnesses the political hotbed of Tudor life around Anne Boleyn’s rise, and Henry VIII’s battle with Holy Rome.

My favourite in the series so far.
The Timeless Falcon series by Philippa Vincent-Connolly has quickly become my favourite in the realm of historical fiction. I have listened to these books on Audible, and the immersive experience has made a lasting impression on me. Long after I finished listening, I often find myself imagining life as Beth Wickers, pondering the decisions I would make if I were in her shoes in Tudor England.
Beth Wickers is an extraordinarily well-crafted character, whose journey through the complexities of Tudor society is both captivating and thought-provoking. Her trials and triumphs resonate deeply, making her a protagonist who stays with you long after the book has ended. Phillipa’s meticulous attention to historical detail, describing the smells of the Tudor court and Henry VIII himself and her ability to weave factual history with engaging fiction create a rich tapestry that draws the listener into the past.
The narration on Audible is superb, enhancing the already vivid storytelling. Clarie’s ability to capture the nuances of Beth's character and the historical context makes the listening experience profoundly engaging. Each scene is brought to life with such clarity that I often feel as though I am walking alongside Beth, experiencing her challenges and victories firsthand.
Despite having read many historical fiction books, the Timeless Falcon series stands out as a pinnacle of the genre. The blend of history, compelling characters, and intricate plotlines makes it a truly remarkable series. It’s a testament to Philliipa’s skill that, despite my eagerness to discover the end of Beth's story, I am resisting the temptation to pick up the book and read ahead. The experience of hearing the story told to me is something I cherish deeply.
In summary, Philippa Vincent Connolly's Dual Falcon series is a must-read (or must-listen) for any historical fiction enthusiast. The immersive storytelling, coupled with the brilliant narration on Audible, makes it an unforgettable journey into Tudor England. I eagerly await the conclusion of Beth's story and highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a captivating historical adventure.
