About this listen
Survive the snow. Scavenge the wilderness.
Two years ago, the end began.
In 2036, a rapidly destabilizing climate culminated in a worldwide snowstorm that froze the entire planet. Billions are now dead due to starvation, disease, civil unrest, and the plummeting temperatures. What remains of humanity now live in small settlements or isolated makeshift villages, carving out miserable lives in this grim new reality.
Some, like Chris Weston, choose to travel among the vast winter wastelands between the bastions of civilization. In the aftermath of the great collapse, Chris finds himself strangely suited for this new world. Strong, motivated, patient, and already possessing a fair amount of knowledge on wilderness survival, he’s lucky enough to feed the strong urge of wanderlust that grips him despite the new icebound Earth.
This collection contains A Warm Place 1-9.

Excellent narration but lousy recording. Okay stories with great characters and dialogue.
I liked the narration, but the recording makes everything feel disjoined, and there are even some blanket errors. Book 5, Chapter 13 is completely messed up, and the conversations are out of order. In that, the main character will answer a question, and then the other character will ask the question he just answered.
The stories are fairly self-contained in each book and simple but still have enjoyable scenes. The best part of the series is the characters and dialogue. And again, the narration really adds to that, but the recording drops the ball. Overall, I'd recommend the series if you like a lot of sex scenes and decent characters, though be aware things can get repetitive. The plots for Books 2 and 5 are basically the same, except Book 2 is on the run, and Book 5 is in one area.

Neither fish nor fowl
If you’re looking for post apocalyptic fiction which has had more research than playing a couple of first-person shooters… look elsewhere.
The author shows neither awareness of the subject; nor consistency (how much noise does a solar powered vehicle make? however much provides some artificial tension)…
If you’re looking for porn there are better sources too…
