About this listen
It is a scandal whispered around London that follows willfully wild Lady Beatrix Lennox. However, Beatrix sees no reason not to go after what - and whom - she wishes. And she wants Stephen Fairfax-Lacy, the handsome Earl of Spade.
Beatrix couldn't be more different from the Earl's ideal future bride, but she brings out the wildness in him. She may be used to being on top in affairs of the heart, but that will soon change....

My favourite Eloisa novel ever.
Several character arcs interweave skilfully in this delightful narrative. Justine Eyre has the perfect delivery and the characters are wonderfully flawed, which makes them effortlessly believable. My favourite Eloisa novel ever, how I missed this one I'll never know, but so glad I finally found it!

Eye rolling when Justine Eyre reads books
The story was vintage EJ and thank goodness Esme has at long last had the baby .. took at least two books for her to give birth. The story is lovely, wraps up several strands and kept my interest until the end although the Bea/ Stephen romance didn't ring true..
Where the eye rolling starts was the narrator's pronounciation. Cravat: cra-vat is not pronounced cra -vart. Pianofort is actually pianoforte .. other words which can't remember now - and they are small but when heard throughout the book it becomes irritating, at least to me.. To save my nerves will ensure to miss books by this narrator.
