Kay’s books, looking back on his medical career, give an insight into the trials and tribulations of life as a junior doctor. His latest title, Undoctored, looks into Kay’s life as a medical student and how things have been since leaving the medical world.

We chatted to Adam Kay about the one good thing Matt Hancock did, how mental health is regarded in medicine, and whether or not Adam would say he is a bad patient.

A comfortable listen

I really enjoyed all three books and Adam Kay is brilliantly funny, then serious and then brilliantly narrated! Your book and lovely voice sends me to sleep laughing and smiling! Even through the painful parts make it easy to listen to! After listening to the interview I wanted to say you are brilliantly funny even when you know he must be in pain emotionally and the nhs lost another great doctor who just needed some support! I can’t wait to hear another book as I have all three on repeat on audible. Thank for your humour and raw emotion! Great insight into how doctors work and recover the lighter side too of life as a doctor and as a human! More audible narration please!
