She never fails

A wonderful revisit to some familiar characters
This book treads the path through life with the characters with whom you fell in love with in the first book. I felt like I was revisiting my own younger self, reminiscing and empathising with Jem. Loved it x

That things can go wrong & still work out
I loved it from start to Finnish loves lisa books could not stop reading it & made me think about my own life & realise that things always work out the way there suppose to 😍

Not for me
I usually love anything by Lisa Jewell. She is such a talented writer. I enjoyed Ralph’s Party but was completely underwhelmed by this sequel. Nothing happens for huge amounts of the book apart from the hum drum of everyday life, usually her writing has a dark twisty side to it and I kept waiting but it didn’t happen. Just a bit of a dull story about a couple, that is my opinion. Others may love it.

Fantastic book marvellous narration
The characters in this book flowed so well mainly due to the superb narration, the story was so descriptive and well written. Throughly enjoyed this read.

Yawn
Ok I guess if you are at the point of approaching middle age with small children. I just heard over sensitive self obsessed drivel. The storyline is not big or clever and drones on back and forth between a couple that keep misunderstanding each other. Aaah let me out. I got out and have returned title without finishing it. The narrator has a particular heavy sarcastic style that could indicate she was bored reading it.
