Summary

Loved it and actually free!
I love the imagination of this book and could not stop listening. This is considered for teens and young adults but I am so tired of the reality of everyday life that fantasy is refreashing.

Beautifully fantastical
Have you been looking for the feeling you got from reading Harry Potter for the first time? the discovery of a new universe? the internal wish for an invitation to a school where you might finally fit in? look no further the Medoran chronicles is just that. it got me "reading" again, i was hooked by chapter two and invested by chapter fourteen.
The entire series is one of my favorite young adult fantasy series ever, the books aren't stand alone so starting here with the first book is wise. Its not quite right for the youngest listeners(there is a little bit of violence and war in this series) but its a series that would fit well as a family listen on a long road-trips or as a Sunday activity.
This book starts introducing you to a beautiful parallel world to ours, with interesting species, places and people/characters masterfully written by Lynette Noni. The world-building continues throughout the series so it never feels like you are stuck in a school in a different world,
In its entirety the series teaches us about friendship, loss, love, bravery, overcoming challenges and forgiveness.
The series had me laughing at points, crying at others, and immediately after finishing the last book i HAD to start the series again and I've listened to it multiple times since.
Carly Robins has done a great job of giving voices to these characters and masterfully conveys how they feel, the teenage girls don't sound overly shrilly, the teenage boys sounds like teenage boys. The adults and other races are also beautifully read.
10 out of 10 would recommend to fantasy enthusiasts of most ages:)

good fun, somewhat familiar
i enjoyed the book and noticed quite afew similarities to books like Harry Potter and Twilight, which isnt a bad thing but i hope that as the books continue, they grow into their own story without the need to have ideas weve heard before.

Loved it!!!
Didn’t think I’d like it, really thought I’d find it a bit cheesy or too about school experiences which were the worst times of my own life but I loved the adorable characters and I can’t wait to read the next one! :)

Fantastical!
As soon as you starting listening, you’re pulled into a wonderland of oddity and fantasy. Every page reveals a surprise and captures your interest. I thoroughly enjoyed this joyride of wonderment. There is no romance in this book, but I didn’t miss that one bit despite being a romance addict. Lol. The characters are really easy to like (or dislike where needed). This is well worth a read.

Great story I was rivited
A great tale, For the 1st few chapters I thought it was going to be philosopher's stone copy. But I got really drawn in, the character development was good and I now want to read the next in the series.

Loved it, fantastic story
It's a great fantasy adventure story and a purfect listen to anyone who loves fantasy, adventure, myth and magic or Harry Potter stories. I thought I might enjoy but didn't expect to absolutely love it. Think it is going to join my favourite book serieses which include Harry Potter, worrior cats, percy Jackson, Sharpe, aregon and adventurers wanted with the few others thrown in.
