About this listen
Galaxies collide in a thrilling new series from best-selling author Ian Douglas, as the last humans in the universe face off against a new threat.
The year is 2162. Thirty-eight years after first contact, Lord Commander Grayson St. Clair leads the Tellus Ad Astra on an unprecedented expedition to the Galactic Core, carrying more than a million scientists, diplomats, soldiers, and AIs. Despite his reservations about their alien hosts, St. Clair is deeply committed to his people - especially after they're sucked into a black hole and spat out four billion years in the future.
Civilizations have risen and fallen. The Andromeda Galaxy is drifting into the Milky Way. And Earth is most certainly a distant memory. All that matters now is survival. But as the ship's marines search for allies amid ancient ruins and strange new planetary structures, St. Clair must wrap his mind around an enemy capable of harnessing a weapon of incomprehensible power: space itself.

Thoroughly enjoyable ride as always
I enjoy Ian's portrayal of mankind's future every time. It is easy to let the story take you and accept it as believable future.

Not great but just about held my interest
I have loads of sci fi books this is by no means great, it's not a classic but I made it to the end and did not skip forward! Probably going to get the next in the series.. Sort of generic basic space adventure

Imagine it.
Big scale of new galaxy with creations from sci-fi novels, philosophy and theoretical physics brought to life in one place. Very well written - interesting plot. Those "Big ideas" are well implemented into the story (in many sci-fi novels it feels out of place but not in this case). If only you can imagine it (and I'm sure you can) you'll be amazed. Have a nice time with this book I sure did.
