About this listen
'From kicking a ball as a kid under the street lamps of Poplar and standing on Highbury's North Bank with my dad, to my first game at West Ham, I was born head over heels in love with football. It saved me, and 50 years on that hasn't changed one bit - I'd be lost without it....'
Harry is the manager who has seen it all - from from a dismal 70s Portakabin at Oxford City and training pitches with trees in the middle to the unbeatable highs of the Premiership, lifting the FA Cup and taking on Real Madrid in the Champions League. With his much loved, no-nonsense delivery, Harry brings us a story filled with passion and humour that takes you right inside every drama of his career. Harry finally tells the full story of all the controversial ups and downs - the pain and heartache of his court case, the England job, his love for Bobby Moore, his adventures at Portsmouth with Milan Mandaric, the Southampton debacle, Tottenham and Daniel Levy, and not forgetting his years at West Ham or the challenges at his current club QPR.
It’s the epic journey of one of the great managers and, along the way, the story of the British game itself over the last five decades. In an era now dominated by foreign coaches Harry is the last of an old-fashioned breed of English football man - one who has managed to move with the times and always come out fighting.

Good listen, very entertaining.
I have always liked Harry Redknapp but knew little about him, except what is printed in the headlines of newspapers. I think in footballing terms he has done a lot and achieved some very impressive results over the years with a variety teams. The audiobook is good, he talks about all the clubs he has managed and doesn't hold back on opinions. He talks about his tax evasion court case and the England coach job, giving his side of the story. I personally, would have liked him to get the job as England manager and thought he would have been very good at it, but it wasn't to be. He talks a lot about the late, but great, Bobby Moore and this clearly says volumes of Harry's bond with him.
The narration is very good and at times I had to remind myself it wasn't Harry himself. The narration is done with a lot of passion and not just read but told to you like a conversation.
The bio is generally good. Harry has had a lot of experience in football and each club presented a new challenge. I enjoyed hearing about the clubs and the players he has worked with over the years.
On the whole, I would recommend this audiobook. I enjoyed listening to and glad I bought it.

Revealing
Really good. Loved finding out more about Harry Redknapp and how he feels about the game we all love. Loved some of his stories about his signings and trying to sign people. Very well read by the narrator too. Sounded like Harry was speaking to you himself! Very enjoyable and revealing about the life of a well-known but often misunderstood football manager.
