About this listen
Sir Ranulph Fiennes has been described by The Guinness Book of Records as "the world's greatest living explorer". He has led over 30 expeditions, including the first polar circumnavigation of the Earth and the first unsupported crossing of the Antarctic continent. He discovered the legendary Lost City of Ubar and has also completed seven marathons on seven continents in seven days. In his inspirational one-man show, Sir Ranulph enthrals theatre audiences with tales of his amazing exploits and astonishing feats of physical and mental endurance as a member of the SAS, and as an explorer and adventurer.

Fantastic listen, worth every penny!
Would you consider the audio edition of An Evening with Ranulph Fiennes to be better than the print version?
I doubt there is a print version?
Any additional comments?
Just wish it was longer, but very interesting, funny and engaging - would recommend to anyone and everyone

So very British
Inspiring and very funny. This talk gives a very entertaining insight into the mind of a very driven and focussed man. A quite extraordinary person who has achieved quite extraordinary things.
Brilliant. I absolutely loved listening to it and would highly recommend it to everyone.

Don't listen while you're driving!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this title. Our only 'mistake' was to listen while we were driving to our holiday destination. Ranulph Fiennes for all his physical exploits and world travels has a superbly dry way of engaging with his audience. As an employer I particulary liked his criteria for employing people on expeditions! Some of his travel tales, especially those with Dr Mike Stroud who is equally compelling in his public speaking, will have you in stitches - check out the arctic trip. We were forced to stop the car at one point for crying so hard with laughter - fortunately there wasn't much traffic! And all of this for a good cause - enjoy!

Ranulph and the stiff upper
It's his job. That's all. So Sir Ranulph goes unsupported over the Antarctic Continent. He is the epitome of understatement which provides us with the space to join him. He is my forever Hero

An extraordinary man with a very dry wit
This is a speech by the quintessentially English explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes. With a marvelously dry wit, he tells of his exploits - triumphs and troubles - on various dangerous expeditions to inhospitable regions, in particular both poles. A highly enjoyable listen.
