About this listen
A freak accident in rural Wyoming leads the sheriff's department to arrest a man for a possible double homicide, but further investigations suggest a much more horrifying discovery - a serial killer who has been kidnapping, torturing, and mutilating victims all over the United States for at least 25 years. The suspect claims he is a pawn in a huge labyrinth of lies and deception - can he be believed?
The case is immediately handed over to the FBI, but this time they're forced to ask for outside help. Ex-criminal behavior psychologist and lead detective with the Ultra Violent Crime Unit of the LAPD Robert Hunter is asked to run a series of interviews with the apprehended man. These interviews begin to reveal terrifying secrets that no one could've foreseen, including the real identity of a killer so elusive that no one, not even the FBI, had any idea he existed...until now.

Best one yet!
An evil Mind is by far the best one yet in the series of Robert Hunter, gripping from the start and you won't want to stop listening as the book twists and turns. I was getting a little tired off the series but this book it totally gripping, you just don't know what to expect or and will be shocked as the events as they unfold. Reminded me of Silence of the lambs style story where the Killer holds all the power even while sitting in a cell, well worth listening too .. great book.

More mayhem and murder.
It’s another kill, murder, death from the conveyor belt of Chris Carter’s Robert Hunter series and yes it’s been compared to Hannibal Lector from Silence of the Lambs and John Doe from Se7en but it’s more than that.
We learn more about Hunters back story and we delve into a right creepy killers head plus Garcia isn’t involved. I have to say if I were Hunter I think I would have been pushing up the Daisy’s a long time ago ... so sad. Twists and turns a plenty!
Yes I enjoyed it and yes the new narrator did a good job and yes I will continue with the series. Recommend... yes!

Fantastic!
Carter’s intellect is, once again, demonstrated in this novel - the finale is rather touching, too.

The Title says it All
This one is slightly different to those of this author that I've read as the perpetrator is already behind bars. The FBI want to know what makes this man tick and also where the bodies are, and to help he has requested Robert Hunter. He tells them some of where they are and those listening behind closed doors check to tell if he is telling the truth, which he is, but there is also a girl still in his clutches and she will not last long now as he has been caught, and will not say where she is but will show the agent and Robert where but the catch is he has to take them. It is surprising for the pair to fall for that one but Robert's idea is to get the girl and also Robert reveals that his only girlfriend was murdered and it turns out it is the perpetrator. A lot happens in the last quarter of the book but up until that point, it was a bit drawn out, but clever and a bit dark.

Evilness
I got this audio book from a recommendation on the web site having never read any of Chris Carter's books before. I did enjoy it although it was very graphic and gut churning at times. Well written and extremely well performed by the reader. I'll be checking out more of the authors works.
