About this listen
In this powerful book, the renowned exorcist of Rome tells of his many experiences in his ministry as an exorcist doing battle with Satan to relieve the great suffering of people in the grip of evil. The importance of the ministry to "expel demons" is clearly seen in the Gospels, from the actions of the Apostles, and from Church history. Fr. Amorth allows the listener to witness the activities of the exorcist, to experience what an exorcist sees and does. He also reveals how little modern science, psychology, and medicine can do to help those under Satan's influence, and that only the power of Christ can release them from this kind of mental, spiritual or physical suffering.
An Exorcist Tells His Story has been a European best seller that has gone through numerous printings and editions. No other book today so thoroughly and concisely discusses the topic of exorcism.

Definitely worth your time
Thank you for writing this book. A real revelation from those with genuine expert experience.
It was also nice to hear the acknowledgement to Protestants who are also well versed in these matters.
My only negative was the accusation that Pranic Healer’s are not of God. Especially if they charge. This troubled me as this is the whole message we teach. Prana is the natural life force running through us all. Sometimes we lack or it gets stuck so can be helped. Before healing we always pray for divine protection and after we pray with gratitude to God. We are only allowing God to use us as his instrument on Earth.

interesting
To be honest it's not much different from some of his other books, interesting but hard to keep you motivated to read it.

decent book
i listened to this, as i was desperate to watch 'The Pope's Exorcist' this book wasn't exactly what i expected, i was expecting a bit of a history of Exorcisms and then examples of Exorcism that he carried out, (although there was a few examples, it wasn't as in depth as i expected) however i still enjoyed it, and looking forward to listening/reading his other books on the same subject.
i can now go and watch the film

A Remarkable Priest and a Remarkable Ministry.
First and foremost this is a book about God's Love for humanity as shown through the ministry of the Exorcist. A ministry that is misunderstood, and dismissed, or wrongly sensationalised by brother clergy and the world alike, yet more and more people are recognising and turning to, and rightly so, the Church for discernment and help.
Written with the strength of authority and depth of understanding underpinned with great humility that can only come from lived experience.
This is a book to be studied by Clergy and all those engaged LEGITIMATELY in the Church's ministry of Healing and Deliverance.

Father Amorth.
Amazing! scary but international.Father Amorth makes you realize how little we still understand about possession and how it's still portrayed in the world in general.

Enlightening
I've never been interested in the occult and usually steer clear of the topic. However, this book helps overcome the unknown and teaches me that Jesus is light years ahead of Satan and his army. Jesus is stronger and has overcome evil on the cross. We need to live in His light, His love and His truth.

Fascinating insights.
Stumbled across this one. I've not read / listened to a Catholic book before but have to say that it's really good. The narrator is excellent which always helps. Gabriele Amorth was clearly a very intelligent man as well as obviously having a very strong faith. The book is not creepy or scary despite the subject matter. It deals with the difference between psychological problems and what Fr. Amorth considered to be of demonic origin. It has plenty of case studys from his many years as an exorcist and is interesting throughout. I'd recommend it to anyone who has been a Christian for a while of any denomination.
