Summary

Randy Kraft was highly intelligent, politically active, loyal to his friends, committed to his work - and the killer of 67 people - more than any other serial killer known. This book offers a glimpse into the dark mind of a living monster.

hard to follow

I thought I just wasn't concentrating, but I found this book in need of editing. I let it play 3 times overnight and got the gist only towards the latter half. Never heard of RK before who, BTW, said there was no evidence that he killed anyone (except for having souvenirs, a list, and a body in his trunk)

A truly evil man

One of the best free books I’ve listened to. This man committed such evil crimes for no other reason than his enjoyment.

View into the dark side of a serial killer

Important book, not always easy to follow up. However, necessary to understand that there is the jungle in front of our door with dangerous prediators hunting night and day. Craft's identity management almost perfect. The Narrator maybe not the best choice for this report.

Brilliant story and reader.

Loved this as I hadn't heard anything about the seriel killer before. Mike Chamberlain is one of my favourite readers.

Excellent

I very much enjoyed the story. Although, I must admit it is not the first time I've heard about it. I had read the paper back version some years ago after reading about randy Kraft on wikipedia.

For first time readers, be warned. Randy Kraft is easily one of the most sadistic killers of all time and McDougal does not shy away from the grisly details. This can be a tough read, even for true crime fans.

I always wonder why there was so many serial killers operating in California in 70s and 80s. Discussion for another day perhaps.

Randy Kraft

I didn't know anything about Randy Kraft, this book gives an excellent and at times very graphic account. well worth a listen.

Far too long- winded

This would have been interesting if it hadn’t deviated from the main story covering the murders perpetrated by the vile Randy Kraft whose crimes do not appear to be as well documented as those of other famous serial killers. But why oh well does the author deviate by including long and rambling descriptions of crimes
Satwo completely unrelated serial killers!

Never given up this far in before…

Got through 8 hours or so, before finally throwing in the towel. Awful narration & the events told in such a way they were barely followable. Eventually, I just didn’t care enough to keep going…
