excellent narration
Last act not as interesting as start and middle but excellent voice acting, really captures the grim tone of the narrative as well as reminding me of the voice over in the animated transformers the movie for nostalgia bonus.

Tragically forgettable and difficult to enjoy.
Huge World Eater fan, but this book was a chore to finish. No memorable moments, uninteresting characters and it felt quite low scale in the grand setting of 40k, especially with Angron involved. Such a shame!

Where is Angron?
Fantastic narration throughout and it was nice to hear special effects, such as vox interference, throughout.
However for a book about Angron, it’s no exaggeration to say he is hardly in this book.
Instead it’s a mediocre story about world eaters and grey knights. Grey knights being the more interesting of the two.
It’s a shame that there is ZERO explanation as to why Angron has returned and where he is going in the story.
4/10 for me

Again wasted time and money for a anyone
This book has annoyed me it’s story is dull the characters poorly written no pacing

Saved only by the narration
Otherwise I would have returned this book, 2 of my favourite books are Betrayer and Emperors Gifts and this book sadly is a mockery of both, even with the inclusion of the conqueror and the mistress this book was hugely disappointing

A good story
I'm about half way through, the beginning 10 mins is just repetitive, of the narrator say "No, not this place".. But it does have a purpose for setting the scene, even if it goes on too long.
The rest of the story, especially about the Mistress of the ship, was a nice surprise.. I'll say no more.
I was hoping we'd get Toby for this book, but the narrator a veteran of the Black library and does a good job, he's not my favourite, I find he often talks to slow, so I speed it up... Then parts that he rushes through suddenly go unheard... I can't win.
Is it worth a credit? Yes...

No Angron in an Angron book.
The first hint of Angron actually appearing is around the 2hrs 45min mark, then next one is him actually doing something for about 5 minutes around the 6th hour, than he actually speaks and is fully active in the book around the 9th hour. This is more of a Grey Knight or World Eater book, it’s not an Angron book. So if you’re reading it for more Angron action/lore, best give it a miss. If you just want to read about Grey Knights doing space wizard stuff, this might be for you.

When will you rage?
When will you rage - probably after 10h 58m wondering why you listened to it ramble along between grunting noises - it isn’t terrible but as the book I last did was The End and the Death this probably had little chance to engage by comparison, If GWs physical products had this level of variation in quality we probably would not but them - at least it wasn’t Descent of Angels.

Well narrated- underwhelming storyline
it's always hard to portray the world eaters. this one missed it for me. Well Narrated by Andrew wincott, but the plot line doesn't really flesh out the legion in the modern 40k universe as much as I hoped it would.

Quite underwhelming
before reading my opinion, please note that this is my FIRST audiobook (unless you count Baldermorts fan fictions on YouTube) so not being used to narrated novels may have had an impact on my liking and "absorption" of this book. anyway, with that said: The story overall is okay, nothing great, I feel that this shouldn't be called Angron: The Red Angel and should be called "The World Eaters" as focus isn't really on the Daemon Primarch, it's separated more equally between a few members of the World Eaters and the Grey Knights. This is probably the first 40k novel that hasn't enticed me into buying a model. I also think this really suffers from having one narrator, he has an epic voice but many of the characters end up blending into one person and I found myself rewinding a fair bit to remind myself who out of the cast was actually talking, his gruff and baritone voice doesn't lend itself to a wide variety of voices.
