About this listen
Nolan Garrett is Cerberus. A government assassin, tasked with fixing the galaxy's darkest, ugliest problems with a bullet to the brain.
Armed with cutting-edge weapons and an AI-run cybernetic suit that controls his paralyzed legs, he is the fist in the shadows, the dagger to the heart of the Nyzarian Empire's enemies.
Then he found Bex on his doorstep....
A junkie, high on the drug he'd fought for years to avoid, and a former elite soldier like him. So he takes her in to help her get clean - Silverguards never leave their own behind.
If only he'd known his actions would put him in the crosshairs of the most powerful cartel in New Avalon.
Facing an army of gangbangers, drug pushers, and thugs, Nolan must fight to not only carry out his mission, but to prevent the escalating violence from destroying everything he loves.
Cerberus: Assassination Protocol is the riveting, heart-pounding first book in the epic military sci-fi Cerberus series. If you like fearless heroes, nonstop futuristic action, and neck-breaking plot twists, you'll love Andy Peloquin’s thrilling space opera series.

A dark distopia
I recieved a review copy of this book. It is well written and the narrator was perfect for the role. The world is dark, but interesting, and the main character fits well into it. The action is fast paced, whilst the groundwork to the series has been laid without undermiming the story.

Flawed ex-soldier now assassin for secret agency
I enjoyed this book and pretty much listened to it in about two sittings, admittedly I had a lot of jet washing to get on with but this book made the time go all that much faster!
The main protagonist is a flawed retired soldier that did have a drug addiction, somewhat gung ho and all that. But it didn't grate. I thought the book was well written and the narration by Bronson Pinchot was superb - it was easy to listen to and the individual voices were well presented with a good differentiation between the characters so was easy to follow.
Listening to the plot, and him dealing with his various demons was inciteful to building your feeling towards Nolan. Towards the end there was a bit of a ex-machina moment that had a bit of a jarring feeling to it. I'm still a little bit eh'ed by this plot move/hole it would have been nice to have had a bit of more of a clue that technology could have had the ability before it was sprung on the reader.
All in all, a great "read" and worth the time.

Knight Rider, Iron Man and Daredevil
Science fiction classic tragic not-quite-superhero, takes on a world of bad guys and somehow recovers from being nearly killed more times than I could count! Lots of actiion (some of it just a little improbable), but very entertaining for those people who preferred to read something that contains a fair amount of gratuitous violence, in assessing that isn't quite futuristic enough to really earn the title science fiction. A few gadgets and vehicles that lend credence to the SF label, well worth listening to!

One man one AI army
Action pack military sci fi
Nolan Garrett is one man one AI (Taia) army
In book 1 of Cerberus series Nolan facing gangsters in New Avalon and his addiction to drugs (each is not something i like to listen to in books) but beside that did enjoy audiobook.
Bronson Pinchot did very good job narrating this book

A suprising good book
This book was a refreshing surprise. It involved a flawed character who had struggled with failure and suffered with the feeling that he had failed his own brother. He was forced to do things he did not want to do in order that one day he might be able to redeem his brother. Though the brother did not play any part in the story other than a long term goal of the character.
He is continuously confronted by criminals who have equipment that they should not be able to obtain and is given assignments he finds contrary to the best interest of the world. The book is back to back adventure and is very well narrated with many distinct voices and a great deal of enthusiasm. I had never listened to Bronson Pinchot narrate before but now look forward to more of his works. Neither had I read or listened to any books by Andy Peloquin but look forward to this series.

Another great listen from Aethon Books
I really enjoyed listening to this book. It was very well paced and the character voices were easy to distinguish and the emotion in the sound came through nice and clear.
Only have one problem. That is another series of books I will be going through.
Really good production and looking forward to the next one.

Stick with it
This takes a while to get going, despite there being action right from the start. Some of the battle scenes take time to get through and there were occasions when I felt there wasn't enough plot in between them to keep it going. However, stick with it until the end and it's a decent read. Yes, there is a twist.
The narrator does a good job. Look out for other material by him

Decent story with one man and his ai
I struggled to get into the story initially but given time it gripped me, mostly because of the interactions between Nolan and Taia, the main character and the ai in his head. It is a story of drugs, gangsters and assassinations all in a sci-fi setting, in the end, I did enjoy the story and definitely recommend.
