Creepy
This book was too creepy and disturbing to enjoy. I could not find anything to like about either the caracters. I wanted to to end better too although this was probably the best end for all involved. I also didnot gel with the narrator although i liked the way in which the calls and memories were done.

Review of Awake - The Series (Audiobook)
This is definately not your run of the mill or normal boy meets girl and they live happily ever after type of love story or romance...
This is a sinister and creepy story of dysfunctional love and obsession that was very well written, as disturbing as it is... it pulls you in and you realise that when it comes to matters of the heart and mind nothing is ever simple or uncomplicated.
The narrator Nathan Labogen did an awesome job and definately contributed to the overall atmosphere in the book.

A decent listen
This was a different listen for me. A love story or is it?
He was so intense & creepy I couldn’t find it to be sorry for him when things started happening.
She was a bit wet to me. I felt she needed a push to react.
See the signs, she definitely needed a push.
The story was good, it had good points. It had bad points but overall it was a decent listen.

Fitting narration
I listened to the audiobook collection, revisiting books that I had read previously. The narrator's portrayal of Kian was very good and true to that character. Kian is well fleshed out in all his creepiness and complexity through the combination of well-written text and well-executed performance. The female protagonist, on the other hand, is less likeable. A passive character, she is constantly driven by intuition and emotion - seldom following these instincts up with solid investigation - and is easy prey for an unstable and potentially dangerous predator. This collection is tough, gritty, and the edges are jagged and will leaves splinters of discomfort and unease embedded in the mind for a long time yet.
A good book, yes. Well-written. Good performance by the narrator. But did I love it? No.

intriguing listen
I really enjoyed this listen. A creepy main character that sometimes you like, sometimes creeps you out and sometimes you feel sorry for. And the other main character is very likeable. A good listen. Recommended!
