About this listen
For the first time in his life, Wes Ahern has encountered something—someone—he can’t fix. Not with his hands, his words, not even with his love.
His head tells him Abby had to get out of Colorado to heal from the nightmare that nearly took her from him. To mend her wounded body, piece her broken spirit back together, and find out who she is behind the mask she felt forced to wear.
His first instinct was always to protect her. Still is. But as he faces his own pain, an agonizing realization dawns: that while he needs her more than his next breath, the best place for her may not be with him.
Because while he always had her back, the secrets they kept—even from each other—had the power to destroy them.
Note: Back to You is the conclusion of the Chaotic Love Duet. Often dark and sometimes jarring, this book also contains references to childhood trauma, kidnapping, and PTSD.

Excellent Story & Listen🎧 Compelling & Powerful!
Claudia Burgoa does it again, she pens another amazing novel, the second book of her “Chaotic Love” duet and followup to “Begin With Me”, which you need to read or listen to first. This book picks up where that one ended and what an ending it was, one you never saw coming. Abby comes face to face with the ones who tormented her when she was younger and continues to in her dreams, or rather nightmares. Wes is frantic, trying to track her down and makes a call to the ones he had looking into her past, who have been working were working with the FBI who have been investigating those people from Abby’s past. Abby was fragile to begin with and the incident set her back, but this time she was going to get the help she needs. Wes tortures himself for not getting to her in time and his life implodes, so Sterling steps in to take over the company and Wes tries to get his life back in order and needs to learn to live again without Abby in it. These two needed time to heal and work on their issues, life brings them back together or maybe it was Sterling, but when their paths cross again, they rekindle their friendship and Wes is determined to woo her and win her over and capture her heart again. I loved how everything played out in this book, no walking on eggshells here, real-life issues were kept realistic, the story is both cleverly and beautifully plotted with the perfect balance of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn, second chance romance. It was great to see a few characters from some of the author’s other series, some I met before, others I am looking forward to meeting. Claudia Burgoa, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride, this story will stay with me for a very long time.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Jason Clarke and Muffy Newtown’s outstanding performance of bringing these characters and story to life continues. They have been consistent with the character voices throughout the duet and the quality of the audio is top-notch. I loved how they took each role and made it their own, sounding believable and just as I picture the characters to sound. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture all the character’s emotions and project them into their performance. The talent and versatility of these voice artists know no bounds, and they are fabulous in every role they perform. Thank you for another wonderful listen.
