About this listen
Chad Stone’s life hasn’t gone the way he’d hoped over the past year. He was laid off and forced to live with his parents in their basement. He dove headfirst into a popular MMORPG and built a crafting empire that made him one of the richest players in the game. However, FFO gamers worldwide began mysteriously vanishing while playing the game, and no one has a clue what happened to them or where they are.
Chad soon finds out firsthand when he is sucked into another world while playing the game. He wakes up to find a purple kangaroo named Fozzy standing over him. Chad learns that he is stuck in this new world and that there’s no going back. When Chad pulls a lever on a celestial slot machine he finds out that he is an S-ranked barbarian. Fozzy tells him that he can go anywhere and do anything with his immense power. The kicker is that Chad could care less about being strong and extremely overpowered. The local townsfolk keep badgering him for help, but the man just wants to open a restaurant on the beach with some monster girls.

A fun take on Barbarians
Barbarians and cooking, what's not to like?
Well, it could have been longer, I guess 😀

amazing
I have to admit that given the title I wasn't sure what to think but I'm glad I got this. the book is amazing, really hilarious at times. the setting is amazing. narration is awesome as everything else by the narrator. the author has come far from his initial books.

When you just want to cook with your girls
At my request I received a copy of this audiobook in order to give a fair and unbiased review.
Genre: Isekai fantasy harem
Power dynamics in harem: First girl is possessive and protective, but shares well. MC calls the shots.
Explicit/adult material: Explicit and well done. Caring. Breeding. Claiming. kitsune, cat girl, cow girl.
Summary:
Chad is a sad no-life gamer who spends most of his waken hours playing an MMO. Rumour has it that sometimes people playing it disappear. And well... for once the weird rumour is true.
Chad is teleported into the world of the game and is given a new character with random class and profession. He lucks out and gets a severely overpowered character that has exceptional cooking skills to boot.
So naturally Chad starts looking for a way to build a quiet life around those cooking skills.
Narrator
Voice diversity: The voice are different from each other, but at times I could not solely rely on voice work to recognise characters.
Pacing and intonation: Jessica Threet has given extra attention to pacing, delivery and intonation and it shows. The story becomes alive and carries you away.
Sex scenes: Very well done.
Overall Narration: 4.5 / 5 stars.
The book’s strengths.
- I love that the kitsune girl has such a strong personality and that we are given plenty of time to get to know her
- I love me some slice of life, and having a strong character choose to focus on cooking is a great premise
- The narration
The book’s weaknesses.
- I would have loved for it to be a bit longer with more time invested into the cute cat and cow girl
Overall: 4.5/5 stars
A good first book with interesting girls that I look forward to getting to know better in the next of the series!

Austin's best work yet
Enjoyable slow stake novel by Austin Beck where the MC is granted power but instead of going on a grand adventure, or attempting to save the world, decides to settle down and run a seaside café.
Jessica Threet does an excellent job as always and the MVP Character of the novel was the Kitsune girl (couldn't spell her name) who is quite the characters, still not sure where she's hiding that butchers knife xD
