Story
Many people across the world believe in an ape-like humanoid creature who is covered with hair and walks on two legs. Those who claim to have seen this creature generally say that he has reddish-brown hair, is approximately seven to 10 feet tall, has a conical-shaped head, emits a powerfully obnoxious stench, and has enormous, human-like feet. In the United States, this creature is known as the Sasquatch or Bigfoot. He is attested to in Native American myths and legends that speak of giants, as well as in eyewitness accounts that predate the birth of the country.

It was the winter of 1902; South African park ranger Harry Wolhuter was on horseback, patrolling the area for poachers at Kruger National Park. Little did he know, he was also being stalked. Out of nowhere, two huge male lions pounced on Harry's horse, knocking the man to the ground. The horse ran off, leaving Harry to fend for himself. One of the lions lunged at him - piercing deep into his flesh and bones - and began to drag him far into the jungle to finish him off.

Summary
Learn about the many mysterious ape men of our world.
Bigfoot, also called Sasquatch, is thought to be a large, hairy, apelike being that inhabits some of the dense forests and remote mountain ranges of North America.
Although solid, scientific evidence of the creature is lacking, stories of sightings and encounters have been steadily accumulating throughout the years.
As a result, Bigfoot has been placed in the category of so-called “cryptids” - creatures that are thought by some to exist on Earth but have yet to be properly documented by modern science.
Others in this category include the mysterious, waterborne, dinosaur-like being popularly known as “the Loch Ness monster”, as well as the goat-eating chupacabra of South America.
Due to the sheer volume of eyewitness accounts involving Bigfoot, most people in the Western hemisphere recognize the general description of this elusive, apelike creature. What few may realize, however, is that the Sasquatch is not unique to North America. Or, at least, stories of mysterious bipedal hominids are not.
From the mountainous regions of Nepal to the wild outback of Australia, tales of such beings have existed throughout history. In many cases, the descriptions of these creatures seem to match Bigfoot.
So, then, a few questions naturally arise:
Are these all part of a singular, long-lost species of great ape, or are they separate beings with different genetic lineages?
How similar are they to each other, where do they to live, and is there any evidence of their existence?
In this audiobook, we will explore these questions and many more as we go through fascinating accounts of sightings, encounters, and possible findings relating to the many mysterious ape-men of our world.

A great introductory text
Whilst short in duration, it covered a large amount, thoroughly enjoyed it.
I have been interested in this general subject for years and I was surprised to find that there was a number of these hominids that I was previously unaware of.
Whilst it isn't a complete reference material, it has given me many more areas to look into in greater detail.

Bigfoot And The Others
What's so sad about this book is that 5 minutes into the narrative on Sasquatch I could tell the author did little to no actual research on the subject. There are tons of eyewitness accounts, encounters, incredible information available. realizing that right off the bat, I didn't even bother to read the rest. If you are someone with a true interest, listen to the podcasts like Sasquatch Chronicles and others with actual interviews. This book is a waste of money.

useful intro book
If you are brand new to the topic, this offers a broad overview of the purported ape-man like creatures occuring across the globe, one chapter or so, per species. The author has done a fair amount of hisorical research and it is well written. As of July 2020 much sasquatch material is not up to date but still offers a brief introduction...
For those looking for more advanced 'squatch material, I'd recommend the work of Dr. John Bindernagel (wildlife biologist), Dr. Jeff Meldrum (anthropologist & college professor), Scott Carpenter (researcher), Steve Isdahl (howtohunt.com, professional guide), Todd Standing (prior sniper), MK Davis (Patterson footage) & David Paulides (retired police officer and missing persons investigtor).
It does turn out there are over 138 DNA samples (Carpenter), solid live footage (Standing), verified tracks (Meldrum), studies of behavior & habitat (Bindernagel), and incredible testimony (Isdahl) .
