About this listen
Mark banning encounters a very different and very differently deadly case.
Ryan Morgan, a married man, comes to Banning in a panic. He is being blackmailed with incriminating photos of Ryan with an attractive coworker. To Banning, with years of experience as a private eye, there is nothing unusual about that. What is unusual is that the photos show the pair in places where they have never been.
Hooked by the questions the photos raise and the challenge the case presents, Banning and his assistant Betsy begin investigating. Clues, soon, suggest the photos may have been sent from the home of Paul Reynolds, Ryan Morgan's business partner, and his wife Ellen.
But when Betsy arrives at the Morgan residence, she finds someone has beat her there, and Ellen Morgan has been shot dead.
What Mark Banning wants to know is did his client, his client's wife, or the "other woman" decide Ellen Reynolds was the blackmailer? Or is something entirely different going on?
What Banning doesn't know is that a desperate killer will do anything to stop him from learning the truth...

Excellent.
This is a very good listen I thought. I've read the previous books in the series and both are good, this one does not disappoint either. A very good set of characters with an interesting plot, yes, a little predictable, I worked out the "goodies" from the "baddies" fairly easily but missed the plot completely with the motive, thought it was something entirely different. Tim Lundeen did a superb job of the narration once again and I'm sorry to see this is the final book in the series, would have like more!☺

Format: audiobook
Narrator: Tim Lundeen
This is the first book in this series that I have read and I’d definitely look up more in this series, Mike Banning is a likeable character and I like the banter and relationship he has with his assistant.
The storyline itself is a good one with a few twists and turns
overall a highly enjoyable read.
The narrator does a great job and his voice suits this story and character well.

Confusion
I found this book had confusing and predictable parts. On reflection the ending was no different to what I expected. I quite enjoyed the very well narrated story. Not a tale that will stick with me.
