Summary

In Bones Would Rain from the Sky, Suzanne Clothier takes a radical new direction in understanding our life with dogs...and our mutual love. Drawing on a lifetime of experience with dogs, this nationally renowned dog trainer brings us astonishing new lessons about our animals - and ourselves. Gently, with intelligence, humor, and unfailing patience, Suzanne Clothier guides us to truly comprehend another creature's mind and heart. You will discover how our dogs see the world from their uniquely canine perspective, how we can meet their deep need for leadership without using force or coercion, and how the "laws" of canine culture often put our dogs at odds with us and our very human world. Clothier's unparalleled insights into aggression in dogs can help prevent a tragedy, including the unnecessary destruction of a pet. As in no other "dog book" or training manual, in Bones Would Rain from the Sky an extraordinary woman shows us how to find a deep connection with another being and to receive an incomparable gift: a profound, lifelong relationship with the dog you love.

We absolutely loved this book

This book was so insightful. We loved every minute of this book. We learnt so very much about dog behavior. The book was such a fun and interesting. This book was recommended by my assistance dog trainer. The book gives you a lot to think about and how your dog "sees" our world and how we can inprove our dog's lives. I recommend it to my friends and family too.

Narrator difficult to listen to.

very difficult to listen to tried and tried but could not remotely enjoy it. THe content did not help as I found it bland and perhaps condescending to reader .

More for dog owners than professionals

Flowery stories of pretty basic understanding of dogs. I’m a dog trainer so thought there might be more in depth information but wasn’t. I can see how it would be an enjoyable book for owners to learn more about their dog.

Brilliant book, for dog lovers and for life...

This is truly lovely and worth a read/listen for everyone but especially people, like me, who want to try and understand and listen to the fascinating animal they share their life with...I only wish the author had narrated this herself! No offence to the brilliant job done by Pam Ward but I have heard Suzanne Clothier on a podcast and she was amazing to listen to and to hear her own words would have been even better imho!
