Summary

In the ruins of Caswell, Maine, Carter Bennett learned the truth of what had been right in front of him the entire time. And then it - he - was gone.

Desperate for answers, Carter takes to the road, leaving family and the safety of his pack behind, all in the name of a man he only knows as a feral wolf. But therein lies the danger: wolves are pack animals, and the longer Carter is on his own, the more his mind slips toward the endless void of Omega insanity.

But he pushes on, following the trail left by Gavin.

Gavin, the son of Robert Livingstone. The half-brother of Gordo Livingstone.

What Carter finds will change the course of the wolves forever. Because Gavin's history with the Bennett pack goes back further than anyone knows, a secret kept hidden by Carter's father, Thomas Bennett.

And with this knowledge comes a price: The sins of the fathers now rest upon the shoulders of their sons.

Contains mature themes.

Best books ever

TJ Klune has written a masterpiece in this series of books and Kirt Graves reads them beautifully and with the perfect amount of gravitas and humour needed. The characters are built to perfection and then taken a little bit further to make sure you will love them all. The story is believable and full of love and humour, life and death, with a good amount of the supernatural thrown in for good measure. I can not recommend enough.

Enjoyable Story

A well written story with and interesting  concept.  The characters are likeable and the narration is very good.

Fantastic

Not AS good as the others but with a satisfactory ending and definitely all the feels you would expect from this series.

A rare diamond

I didn’t listen to the first few books the series. I started with the freebie but even so I was captivated from the beginning.
The story, the narration, the pace were just perfect.

Awesome end to a wonderful series!

I waited ages to listen to the last in the green creek series and this did not disappoint. As usual Kirt brings the story and characters to life on a way that adds brilliantly to what has to be one of the best stories I have ever read.

A Superb Finale! 😭😢🥰

I don’t think I have ever cried as much as I have listening to an audiobook.

TJK writes beautifully in this final instalment and Kirt Graves narrates perfectly!

Somebody wrote in their review that they couldn’t understand why the story kept going from past to present - I don’t believe that to be the case.
I felt that it was very fluid, and the past references were to understand as a whole, each characters story, bringing them all to a conclusion. No confusion at all!

This series is beautiful, heartfelt, endearing, sad (very sad) but also humorous when necessary.

The only negative is the authors use of “I/he/she said” - it was used too much, especially for narration - this was the only negative for me.

This has to be the best series I’ve ever read/listened to with Bear, Otter & The Kid a close second.

TJK is a master in this genre, and is unlikely to be surpassed - My opinion anyway 😊

Definitely a series of audiobooks I will cherish always!

5🌟’s and would give more if I could!!

Bittersweet ending to this series ...

***Audio Review November 2020***

An emotional audio from Kirt...in fact, I found the audio to be much better than reading the story. I LOVED his interpretation of Gavin [stupid, stupid Carter] and it was a great way to finish the series. 5 stars for the audio, and I've rounded up the total rating to 5 stars from the average 4.5 stars.

***Book Review October 2020***

So...that's it, the end/finale of the Green Creek series 😕. Yes, I liked but not loved it; tbh, if anything it was a tad underwhelming...but that's on me, my expectations were probably set a little too high 🙄. As some other reviewers have also said, there wasn't enough Carter/Gavin time in the story for me, and obviously everyone would've gone after TJ with pitchforks if one of the most popular characters in the series had been killed off before their HEA. As it is, I thought my fave character's [not Carter] number was up, but he was saved at the end thank goodness. Thump, thump, thump certainly made a change from pack, pack, pack though, and no, there were no tears from this particular reader.

my favourite series ever

Kirt Graves is the best narrator I've ever come across and I've come across plenty. He is book, everything is perfect in this book. I'm forever hunted by the beautiful writing. I feel my heart so full and so happy. What a great ending to a great story. Ox Ox Ox

Not clear this is the final part of a series!

I bought this audiobook not realising it was the 4th in the ‘Green Creek’ series. By the time I realised, I was several hours in, and decided to carry on, but I’ve probably had a skewed experience because this information wasn’t clear on the Audible site.
What made me carry on, even when some things seemed obscure, was the hypnotic prose - full of almost Dr Seuss-like repetitions, combined with rhythms of the pulpit. It’s quite unlike a lot of other shifter romance books I’ve read - there’s less sex (not necessarily a bad thing), and it does GO ON at times (those preacher-style rhythms!), but I didn’t really feel the attraction between protagonists Carter and Gavin.

One editorial-type remark - Judy Garland did not record a ‘cover’ of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas - she was the original recording artist!

An ending that hurts

I would say that it's been an honour to have been in the lives of the Bennett pack. It has. The ending really hurt my heart. I only rate this the lowest of the series because I wanted more of Carter and Gavin. I understand in theory why we didn't, but I've wanted this for so long and now I'm just...whelmed. And sad because it's all over now.
