Summary
They are so good at being bad.
Exposed:
My enemy had seen me naked. He was holding the proof right before my eyes, and my stomach lurched sickeningly.
"Seems like you had too much to drink last night," he remarked in that condescending tone he always used with me.
I looked up at him as he stood watching me from the doorway with his attitude of superiority. In that moment of weakness, I actually tried to plead with him. "Please. I've never done anything to you."
"Begging me on your knees. That's a good start."
Dread turned my clammy skin cold. Mason Sumner hated my guts, and he would have no compassion for me. This was bad. This was really, really bad.
Trouble:
Asher Stone before: tormented, soulful, and intriguing
Asher Stone after: angry, spiteful, and cruel
I fell for him before we met, but I made a mistake he won't forgive. Asher Stone thinks he can bully me, but he doesn't know me. The girl he wrote those letters to is gone. I'm not the girl he wanted, but he won't leave me alone.

Bully to lasting romance
2 stories - Exposed and Trouble. In the stories, there were 2 different girls who I thought was interconnected in some way, but these were 2 different stories.
The stories have a lot of dramas, some tragedies but a lot of triumphs too. I appreciate the author's take on some modern day dilemmas/issues -teenage pregnancy, mental illness, rap, infidelity to name a few. The author made good on the characters of both our heroines though being too-besotted by lust or love were their weakness.Particularly like Cora for what she did to defend her mother's honor. (she didn't do anything when she was being trashed but she did something for her mom)
There are mature scenes in the stories but there are lessons that one so young can pick up on. This is a good story to read. (NOTE: I used 1.5x speed for the audiobook narration, i think it is better)

Great stories to listen to.
The two stories were well written and I found the voices to be good, easy to hear. Both books ran along similar lines, mean boy but protective of the girl he supposedly dislikes. Definately worth listening to.

Editing/Continuity Errors Abound, Stories are Ok
Suzana Thompson is quite good at writing believable, foolishly adolescent teenage characters, and that's something I appreciate because these characters ARE teenagers and far too many authors write characters like this as much too advanced and mature in order to appeal to older audiences, but that's incredibly off-putting a lot of the time, so I really appreciate that Suzana has kept me firmly in the frame of reference that these are high school children in these situations. That being said, because they ARE teenagers, they are often annoying AF; seriously annoying, but again, it's believable because they are experiencing these situations for the first time, so it's realistic. The stories are good; the writing is straightforward, and for the audio book, the narration is okay.
There are, however, quality issues with the content. I presume these issues are mostly related to editing, either in the story itself or in the post-production process for the audio content, but there are some major gaps or weird information dumps or all together missing information in several scenes which cause continuity issues if you're really paying attention to the story, so I don't know if that's a problem with the writing, the editing, or the production, and that's the main reason I didn't give this 5-stars because otherwise I think the author pulled off angsty teen drama really well.
