About this listen
How much money would it take to send your own brother to the dungeons? Wyl-hunter, Brutus, is in hot pursuit of his elusive sibling, Otis. With a bounty dangling over his sibling's head, Brutus, the thief-taker, must vow to bring his own relative to justice for the much-needed reward money.
Along his mysterious journey, he finds himself in the midst of Brute Fest, a violent festival where blackened eyes and vicious brawls are things to be celebrated. His trip takes an even more intriguing turn when he becomes enraptured by a stunning beauty, Violet. Captivated by the wild world around him, and Violet's unusual talents, Brutus must make an impossible choice between love, money, and family.
Sure to quench your thirst for adventure, Call of the Wyl is a brand new fantasy standalone novella with a hint of paranormal romance set in the Isle of Destoria. Brought to you by the author of From Ashes and Desdemona in Embers (the first two installments of the acclaimed Illuminator Saga) and co-written with romance author, Aurora Alba.
Note: You do not have to read the other books of the series to enjoy Call of the Wyl, however, if you have, you will find a treasure trove of hidden references and backstory to some existing characters you've come to know and enjoy.

Great short story
This is a sweet little story full of interesting creatures. It is very well read, the narrator has a pleasant voice and brings the characters to life. A strong debut from both the authors and the narrators, I look forward to hearing more from them

Call of the Wyl
This sounded so good when I first saw it and it was good, I just struggled to get into it. Brutus was one strong Wyl who took on the mission to find his brother Otis, after finding out Otis was wanted for treason. Though can Brutus find him in time, or is it too late to save Otis

Decent
Slow start but a decent enough story. A couple of twists which were clever. Not enough world building. No real description of the land, creatures or their significance.

Call of the Wyl.
This is a sweet amusing short novella. A wealth of interesting small furry characters will keep you listening to the very end. Kodiak Clark does a superb job of narrating the story and brings it all to life. Recommended.
I was kindly given a copy of the book and leave this honest review.

Family first
I enjoyed the short story, although there were a few too many events in a row, but in a healthy way. Right and wrong are often too close together and difficult to grasp.
The narrator did a good job and was pleasant to listen to.

A taste of Destoria
A curious little tale (tail? haha) that has left me wanting to further explore the wider world it comes from.
In the little over an hour this story takes place inside, I felt like I had grown to know, love, and understand the vibrant array of characters that bring this story to life,
Kodiak's narration is good but his voice acting is even better here, he really helped these beautifully written characters shine with a nostalgic British charm and a broad range of styles.
An hour and 12 minutes well spent! I look forward to diving deeper into this realm!
