Summary
This is a great introductory audiobook on astrology for the general public. Collected Works of Carl Payne Tobey (1902-1980) are from various prior publications that are out of print.
He was one of America's great 20th century astrologers. Grant Lewi was his best friend and supported Tobey's statistical research to prove astrological principles. He discovered the astronomical basis of sign rulerships that supports Pluto being the natural ruler of Aries. He discovered the mathematical design behind ancient astrology that has been passed down for 2,000 years. He discovered that aspects are based on house design and that the original house rulership started with the Leo Clockwise House count, not the Aries Counterclockwise count that was popularized by Alan Leo in 1910. In this audiobook, he purposely compares the "mate' signs of Aries-Scorpio, Taurus-Libra, Gemini-Virgo, Cancer-Leo, Pisces-Jupiter that was based on the dual rulership from the Thema Mundi. These are the hidden geometric design that makes astrology a branch of fractal mathematics.

Fantastic audiobook by little-known astrologer
Fascinating book with lots to chew over even though its decades old,,,this guy interviewed Tesla for godsake...but Tesla (amongst many other scientists etc, most of whom had not studied it so had no real knowledge)would not say anything on astrology claiming he could not as he did not have any opinion because he had no experience of the subject.
Tobey says that when looking at the 12 signs you have to look at what sign the ruling planet of the sunsign is in to further determine the basic sun type.
There are 12 types of sagittarius as jupiter could be in any sign, but only 1 type of leo, there can be 3 types of virgo as the ruling planet mercury can be in leo, virgo and libra, libra can have 5 types because venus can only be in leo virgo libra scorpio and sagittarius.....the other sunsigns can have 12 different types so this gives 117 basic sun types rather than 12. This is only one tiny example of info in this book, i wish i had time to write out more. If you're an astrologer i'd recommend getting this.
There's a lot of good info in here and i'd like to read more of Tobey's work and learn more about him as i only came across hime by looking for more astrology books
