Summary

"Ray Porter is the perfect book narrator. He submerges so completely into each character that they come alive as individuals. He allows the story to speak rather than making it ‘his’. He’s also fun to work with –and we have done a ton of projects together. It’s to the point that I hear his voice in my head when I’m writing. And even though he’s reading my work, his performance is so nuanced and entertaining that it allows me to listen to my own audiobooks as if they are brand new. It’s a fantastic working partnership." Jonathan Maberry on Ray Porter

Joe Ledger and Rogue Team International plunge into mortal peril as this new and deadly arms race threatens to ignite new wars throughout the Middle East.

After years of searching, a new cave filled with Dead Sea Scrolls is found, and among them are bizarre books of actual magic. Terrorist groups and multinational corporations scramble to acquire these treasures in the hopes that magic is the true WMD of the 21st Century. But everyone who goes near those scrolls goes insane. The fabric of reality is shredding. Is this the result of ancient magic, or is it a new bioweapon that fractures the mind of anyone exposed?

Cave 13 pits Joe Ledger against warring factions of ideological terrorism, corporate greed, and massive international crime syndicates in what might well become a new Age of Miracles.

Well worth the time.

Vvv goid listen.
Ray porter, as usual is the man.
Storry seemed a bit meandering at times.
As if it was more of a set up for the next few books.

Just brilliant…

Enthralling, brilliant, everything really. Scarily reminiscent of the events of the day and yet different enough. Excellent work everyone involved.

Solid action as always

Rogue Team International and Joe continue to provide excellent action movies in audio form.

Ray Porter is, probably, my favourite reader however I have a small (but noteworthy) observation: Ray, buddy, British accents, mate, they're just not for you. The woman from Manchester swerved between Scotland, Ireland, sort-of-north-ish, and anywhere but Manchester. Swing and a miss. You did, however give me a solidly good laugh, (I paraphrase):
Ray, reading: "Aha I thought I detected a hint of Geordie in your accent"
Me, heckling "No, you really didn't."

Love your work, man, but you'd be better off aiming for a "generic" British accent than trying for specifics.

A must listen, Joe is back and it's all happening!

A lot to unpack, so much waiting to happen and coming to a fantastic finale!

A lot left unexplained and now wait eagerly for the next installment!

As always Ray Porter is the voice of Joe!

I need to know more about CHURCH!

Missed the mark

As a Joe Ledger book goes, this follows the standard narrative we have grown to expect. Maberry was not as clean in his writing as he could have been. His unskilled sex scenes and over use of cliches was disappointing. The story is fun, but we know the team always win… I feel this series needs an Empire Strikes Back book where RTI actually do not win.

Didn't hit the same.

I dunno, maybe I expected more. just felt there was too much going on and too much unexplained. fantastic performance from Ray Porter as always but the story just didn't do it for me.
