About this listen

Charlotte is manipulated into the arranged marriage. But she soon learns the high price she must pay to be a British queen consort. Does King George give up Lady Sarah? Will Queen Charlotte ever see Bach again? And what of her family secret and quest for answers?

All is revealed. The novel spans 50 years in the life of a formidable queen whose history collides with lust, betrayal, politics, rape, murder, and madness.

Enjoyably bonkers

This starts out as a pretty standard dramatised biography of Queen Charlotte but about a third of the way through… ooh boy! It just all goes a bit Dan Brown and you can hear the screech as it veers off track! Having said that, it’s quite enjoyable and Adjoa Andoh is a wonderful narrator.

Fab

Loved every minute of this book the facts about Charlotte mixed with myth. Loved every minute of this and the characters. Lovers of this book would also love the Tudor conspiracy series it’s written in this style.
