Summary
Year 2522. Lyra Daniels is dead.
Okay, so I only died for 66 seconds. But when I came back to life, I got a brand new name and a snazzy new uniform. Go, me! Seriously, though, it's very important that Lyra Daniels stays dead, at least as far as the murdering looters know.
While dying is the scariest thing that's happened to me, it morphed my worming skills. I can manipulate the Q-net like never before. But the looters have blocked us from communicating with the rest of the galaxy, and now they believe we've gone silent, like Planet Xinji (where silent really means dead).
A Protector Class spaceship is coming to our rescue, but we still have to survive almost two years until they arrive - if they arrive at all. Until then, we have to figure out how to stop an unstoppable alien threat. And it's only a matter of time before the looters learn I'm not dead and return to finish what they started.
There's no way I'm going to let the looters win. Instead, I'll do whatever it takes to save the people I love. But even I'm running out of ideas....

Counting down until the next instalment!
I love CTS (Chasing The Shadows), the 2nd book in Sentinels of the Galaxy. Lyra is as cheeky and brilliant as ever, all in the same. Maria has a way of connecting you with the characters so you’re there with them through the worming, the pain and the rib tickling fun times!
I now have it both in paperback (UK & AU editions) and audiobook, so I never leave the house without it!
Eagerly awaiting the final book in the trilogy...November 2020 (if I could time jump, I’d be there now to reading it and hop back totally fulfilled) as Soulfinders alike would agree!

brilliant storytelling
i loved this and am so sad it is over. listening with audable has really opened the story and brought it to a whole new level. Gabra really brings the characters to life in a way I could only dream they'd be.

Breathing!
Fantastic scope and beautiful narration, mean this doesn't fall into the pitfalls so many 'book 2s' frequently do. Genuinely sad to have finished. Twists and turns, quirky loveable characterisations add to a really immersive story. Can't wait for the next one
