About this listen

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken returns with a smoking-hot story about the satisfaction of plotting revenge on your ex - until he turns your world upside down again.

Austin Rogers's dreams of domestic bliss involved watching Netflix and eating hot dogs with the love of her life. But then he cheated on her. And dumped her - as if the whole thing was her fault. To maintain her pride and restore her sanity, she decides to get revenge. It feels immensely satisfying to plot her ex's downfall - but so does kissing him.

Thatch Holloway, a plastic surgeon straight out of residency, knows he ruined the best thing that ever happened to him. But not all cheaters are created equal. He got himself into this messed-up situation - true - but he has his reasons for what happened, and he'd do it all again to protect Austin.

He's not over her. And she's not over him.

Austin wants closure, but since Thatch refuses to give it to her, she takes matters into her own hands. She needs to write a human-interest piece for her MBA, so she demands the full plastic-surgery experience. Sparks fly as they're forced to work together. But Thatch isn't afraid to play dirty in return. And he's still hiding something - something that has the power to destroy not only Austin but their second chance at finding forever...

Best read of 2017

After being recommended to this book a few times and hearing mixed reviews I thought I would give it a go. And it did not disappoint.
Even after the first few sentences I was hooked. I felt you really got to know each character and what they were about. Would definitely recommend this book to anyone! And the sister book "Cheater" is just as good too!

very enjoyable and funny

I really enjoyed this audio book. Both narrators were excellent, I think their voices especially Alexander doing a women's voice added to the humour. The story was funny, light hearted but had enough depth and drama to keep it engaging all the way through.

Really enjoyable

Loved it. It was really easy and enjoyable to listen to. I will definitely be listening to more books narrated by these narrators.

Not As Good…

I had such good hopes about this story and listened to it immediately after finishing its predecessor; but the storyline felt weak, the plot poor and my general feeling was of incredulity.

I'm worried that real relationships could peter out in this way - with an intense lack of communication - but if they can and do, I don't see how they can ever be successfully resolved, because this didn't satisfy that curiosity.

I also didn't really like the voices of the narrators , especially his, but that didn't totally detract from the book. However, I couldn't wait for this one to be finished. It still had some funny moments towards the end, but it was a struggle getting there...

I got these books as part of my Kindle Unlimited subscription. That is the only way to enjoy this book, in my opinion. However, the first book in the series is my favourite, this isn't even a close second. But still listen to it, if you've already listened to the first & make up your own mind.
