A sweet, second chance holiday romance
This book definitely falls under the umbrella of a seasonal holiday romance and it could easily form the basis for a movie on the Hallmark Channel.
It’s a light, sweet read set in small town USA and, with an audio time of approximately 3 hours, offers a good dose of entertainment without needing a lot of time invested; time being at a premium during the holidays when readers turn to books like this.
What I particularly enjoyed about this second chance romance is that it was two people whose lives cross a second time, which proves to be the right time for them both. Both Lacey and Mason made choices that were right for them 10 years ago. And now, it’s a rediscovery of each other as somewhat new people. There is some melancholy about lost chances but overwhelmingly it’s a story about knowing when to stay, when to leave and when to reassess your course in life.
A special mention goes to Alexia, the popular, sometimes ‘mean girl’ from high school, who shows that people can change and are worth getting to know the second time around...or maybe that only happens in fiction?
Amanda Strebling does a good job of narrating both male and female voices. There’s some mispronunciation of a couple of words but nothing that impacts the overall story. Alexia again shines through in the narration.

Fun listen!
A holiday second chance romance, what is not to love? Lacey and Mason were in love. But when it came time to go to college, Lacey made a decision. Her career path over her relationship. Now years later, she is home and when these two connect again, will they pick up where they left off? I love small town romance. The nosy townspeople, no secrets, and the feeling of family. Lacey thought that wasn't what she wanted. She had dreams, but Mason and an unsuspecting old acquaintance show her there is more to life. Join in the fun and give this a listen. You too will fall in love with Lacey and Mason!
Amanda Stribling is always a fun listen, and her small-town romance narrations are amongst my favorites. She knows how to make the town come alive and keep her main characters realistic. Her voices match her characters, and she portrays them with all their emotions easy to hear. I enjoyed this listen!

Great Everything!
Everything about this book is great. Great narrator, great story, great pacing... I loved the way the author gave the characters depth and situations to which they had to give hard thought as to how it would affect them. The story spans a decade in the lives of of Lacey and Mason, bringing them back together for the hardest decision in Lacey's life. And a huge thank you to author, Angie Ellington for showing us that a good romantic story doesn't have to be filled with erotic encounters.

Christmas in Fair Bend
Lacey leaves Mason back in her home town.10 years later she comes for Christmas and sparks fly.It was a ok to good story. The narrator Amanda Stribling had some good parts. She needs to read at the same volume. There were times I didn't catch her end of sentences.A nice little Christmas story.I was given this book by the narrator, author or publisher free for an honest review.
