Claiming Marcus (Lords of Discord Book 1) by Jocelynn Drake. I enjoyed this book A good start to the series. This story develops nicely. A good combination of world building and character development. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
The Narrator Kenneth Obi did a fantastic job bringing these characters and story to life.

Thrilling Start To A New Series

Claiming Marcus is a trilling start to the Lords of Discord series by Jocelynn Drake.
The vampire world building and character development are excellent and I loved Marcus and his brothers and can’t wait to hear each of the other 3 brothers stories, I hope they each find someone as perfect for them as Ethan is for Marcus.
Kenneth Obi does a fantastic job narrating this book, he brings it to life.
He gives each character an individual voice, so it is easy to distinguish one from another. You feel all the emotions, tension and sexual chemistry, great job!

I LOVE KENNETH!

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me, maybe because I'm not a native English speaker.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. Kenneth Obi is one of the top 5 narrators (so far) for me, I can listen without break and have no problems to follow. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review. But as usual, Kenneth did a great job!

So very good .

Drawn in from the start I didn’t want this audiobook to finish but alas it did .
I would recommend this audiobook easily.. Great words and great narration..

Jocelynn Drake and Kenneth Obi - the perfect duo

I loved this book! My heart ached for Ethan, who lost his family to a horrific vampire attack, and I empathized with his desire to seek revenge. I both hated and sympathized with Marcus's mother. I loved Marcus and his brothers and how protective of their mother they were, how they were protective of humans, and how they embraced Ethan and made him a part of their family. And dare I say that I absolutely adored Rafe.

Jocelynn Drake's writing is superb. She weaves a beautiful story of love, loss, pain, and acceptance. She drew me into the story from the very first page.

Kenneth Obi's narration was perfect. His voice brought the characters to life for me. I could actually picture the characters and their scenes in my mind, which increased my enjoyment of the story.

Anxiously awaiting Rafe's book.

Great Start to Vampire Series!

I thought this was a great start to Jocelynn's new vampire series. Marcus is so shy and unsure of himself that it's fun to see how he acts around Ethan! I can't wait to read Rafe's book next. Each story is about a different brother.

Kenneth nailed it with his great narration! I loved how distinct each voice was and the timing was perfect. Can't wait to listen to more from him. He does a great job at bringing the books and characters to life!

Gripping story

This story gripped me from the beginning. I needed to find out where the journey would take Marcus and Ethan and couldn’t stop listening until the conclusion. Beautifully written by Jocelynn Drake and Kenneth Obi brought the characters to life (well,some of them!) amazingly as usual.

Sweet and Deadly Vampires

I really liked this one the only issue I had was I felt like our MC was a little to quick to give up his revenge and not quick enough in his confessions when he did decide but otherwise a great fun story and look forward to other books about these brothers :) great narration :)

This is good!

I like Kenneth Obi but this must be his best performance ever. It is easy to follow every character as usual but when he does the creepy old vampire lady... chills.
This is a good story that is exciting, sweet and sexy. A HFN that can end there but also a start on a new series about family and politics.

A vampire story

I love vampire stories and Claiming Marcus didn't disappoint. Marcus and his three brothers are forming the Varik family with their maker Aiden who cares for them as a father. They are all very protective of each other and try to keep away from other vampires in their struggle for power. Ethans family has been killed by vampires and he is the only survivor from their apartment floor and he still remembers the voices of the killers. When Marcus offers Ethan a temporarily job to help him move house he gladly accepts if only to find the killers of his family. But what he finds is a close family to which he is drawn to. Soon Marcus and Ethan can't keep their hands of each other and that is when the problems start. Someone is after Marcus and his family and Ethan needs to protect them. But he is only human and his joyful nature is not enough to keep everyone and himself safe. Kenneth Obi does an excellent job narrating this story. It comes alive with his different voices. A recommender. I can't wait for the stories of the other three brothers.
