About this listen
The end of any relationship is heart-wrenching–but the moment children are involved, painful emotions soon blow out of control. Co-parenting is possible – and you can do it!
A parent’s job is to protect their children from as much pain as possible. Splitting from your partner is necessary because staying together would do more harm than good.
But in this case, there is a storm before the calm.
You know that this change is going to cause your children pain. And how guilty does that make you feel?
Statistics show that 1 in 2 children will see their parents’ marriage end in divorce. In order for children to learn from this experience and see two happy parents, there has to be a right way to co-parent.
But these angry emotions are just taking too much control over the situation!
One of the many struggles with co-parenting is working out how to have a respectful relationship with your ex while providing a united front for the children… without arguing!
Having three children under the age of 10, and with nine years of experience in co-parenting, one dad has mastered this role. From explaining why mom and dad don’t live together to standing side by side at a football match, he has gone through every co-parenting drama and success.
Now it’s time to share these firsthand co-parenting experiences with other parents who are desperate to see the light at the end of this particular tunnel.
In Co-Parenting Like Pros, here is just a fraction of what you will discover:
- How to analyze your current situation – set realistic parenting goals where the children's needs come first but both parents are happy
- The different living arrangements for co-parenting parents, and which suits your individual situation best
- What divorce grief is and why positive vibes are only going to make things worse
- The secrets behind effective communication with your ex--even when they are toxic
- Mind-blowing techniques to help you activate your parasympathetic nervous system, instantly calm down, and stop a fight from escalating
- What divorce and separation look like through your child’s eyes so that you can ease them through these agonizing transitions
- How to create a spectacular co-parenting schedule so that children and parents are informed, organized, and reassured by routine
- The unlimited benefits of a co-parenting plan for every aspect of raising children--reducing conflict and the need for legal intervention are just the tip of the iceberg!
- Twenty self-care tips to help moms and dads transition from life in a family to the single life--and without feeling guilty
And much more.
Your focus should absolutely be on what is best for your children.
This is an ongoing process that takes time, and there is no magic wand that is going to get you and your family from the torment to the love and joy a co-parenting family can feel.
By doing what’s necessary and having a guide to ease the transition, you can come out on the other side with a better relationship with your partner and children than ever before.

All My Exes Live in Texas
Willy Nelson wrote a song about “All his Ex-Wife’s living in Texas, and that’s why he lives in Tennessee.” But the song did not mention what happens when the divorce has children involved in the mix. Balancing the pain of a failed marriage meant that the kids would require continued communication with someone connected to so much pain. Divorce does not end parenthood.
The Mom and Dad are still the same even after the divorce. In Co-Parenting Like Pros, the listener learns how to analyze your current situation – set realistic parenting goals where the children's needs come first, but both parents are happy. Rational and successful co-parenting can make a difference in your child’s future. Children from a divorce settlement do not turn out bad.
The first years of divorce can have a lifelong effect on a child. The author is writing about the personal first-hand experience, which makes this a trustful approach to help one understand what to expect in the days after divorce with children in the mix. The dialogue provides some self-care tips to help moms and dads transition from life in a family to a single life without feeling guilty.

I like this book
This book is looking at issues that co-parents and children might face. I like the part that explains what children might be going through as often, we parents are too preoccupied with our own issues. There are some good tips and techniques that can help co-parenting much easier easier to deal with.

The Help you are Looking for
It sounds like the author is sharing a personal experience. This audiobook is a great guide to help you learn to co-parent well even if the other parent is not easy to work with. I wish I had this guide when I was dealing with an X.
Some things that I gathered from this audiobook. Divorce can be very difficult. At the end of the day, the children are in pain too. Their mom and dad remain the same even if you are no longer married. The child’s needs are important too.
Wounds are fresh so regulating emotions is critical. Process emotions first and then get a clear workable plan for helping your children. It is important to achieve a level of safety and trust for the sake of your children. This book helps you set boundaries and be patience. Be really clear in communication. And have honest discussions.
Schedules help with expectations and stability. Kids want to know you are in charge.
Keep the relationship professional, and don’t take things personally.
If you are looking for a realistic guide to help you learn to co-parent well, this is a great choice.
