Summary
For decades, Sandra Brown’s life has been intertwined with someone she has never met: an eleven year-old girl named Moira Anderson – who disappeared from their hometown of Coatbridge, Scotland, in 1957. It became one of the oldest cold cases in Scottish history.
Sandra lived just around the corner from Moira. She grew up hearing about the missing girl, whose memory haunted the town. But she never imagined that, one day, she would be the one trying to uncover what happened. Or that her search for answers would reveal secrets and lies so close to home.
In her own words, Sandra tells the full story, of a lifetime spent confronting doubt and resistance. Can she break the silence and find the truth? And how much pain will it cause?

Amazing
There are amazing people on this earth who have morals principles and determination and someone who you would love to be on your side in the event of troubles, who is an Angle in the form of human that is definitely Sandra.
She carried us on her journey to find the truth I held my breath through out I felt the frustration of the injustice towards the innocent which can to take long for the truth to be found and the evil of those who live life unpunished. Sandra you are phenomenal.

Captivating and harrowing tale
This story of one woman's perseverance and determination to get to the bottom of a cold case in the face of institutional failings, family shame and personal trauma is at once endearing and painful listening. A sometimes challenging story to hear, it is well performed by the story's main protagonist. Really impressive work all round.

Great Podcast. Listened to in 1 sitting
What a great account of such a sad story. My late mother was Moira's best friend and hearing her voice on this tape was very evocative. She thought about Moira her whole life and said to me she'd hope to meet Moira on the other side so she could find out what really happened to her dear friend that day in 1957.

Excellently told
This story of Moira Anderson is so sad. The father of the alleged suspect knew his son.

Five stars!
Unlike most criminal narratives, there was an almost gentle pace to this. Yet it kept me spellbound, right to the very end. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
