About this listen
Life works in mysterious ways. Jameson Force Security has just received notice of a disavowed CIA agent in need of rescue in Central America. My blood runs cold when I learn that agent is none other than Greer Hathaway - my former fiancée.
Having gone our separate ways more than a decade ago, I still have bitter feelings toward Greer and the demise of our relationship. Those feelings don’t change the fact that I loved her more than anything, so I’m on the next flight out to embark on a rescue mission. Besides, Greer once saved my life, so now it’s time to return the favor and put her firmly in my past.
Face-to-face for the first time since ending our engagement, Greer and I are left with not only anger, unanswered questions and regrets, but also the undeniable chemistry we apparently still have. Will the promise of a new future together be enough, or will the same obstacles tear us apart again?

Such good romantic suspense!
I just know when I pick up a book in this series, I am in for a treat. Sawyer Bennett knows how to write romantic suspense with just enough danger and passion to keep me engaged and happy. This 8th book in the Jameson Force Security series is a fun, fast paced listen, and one you will want to add to your collection. Ladd McDermott is an ex-CIA agent who has recently moved to the Pittsburgh office of Jameson Security. Greer Hathaway, Ladd's ex-fiance is in danger, and when Ladd sees this come through the office, he insists on being the one to rescue her. But not only is he going to get her out, but with her being the one who got away, there may just be a second chance on their horizon. The question is will they be up for the challenge? Not only is there passion in the air, but the danger is still lurking back in the states putting not only Ladd and Greer in peril, but Ladd's family as well. Will they be able to stop it before it's too late? Fall in love with Ladd. What a hero! From his amazing skills at work, to his talks with his son, I fell hard and fast. He is attentive and loving, the best combination. Greer is a strong personality and I love her independent streak. She can take care of herself, and I love it Together it's a power couple and one that is only going to benefit this series. Plus we get peeks at our favorites from other books in the series making it a wonderful listen!
Add to that the narration team of Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon, and Sawyer Bennett has knocked this one out of the park. Both narrators are so good, finding their rhythm and perfect voice for the characters, keeping the thrills high and the passion hot, I finished this on quickly. I loved it and can't wait for more!

Loved this read/listen
This is a wonderful addition to this entertaining series by Sawyer Bennett. I could not stop listening/reading. Great listen and read. Ladd is brought in to rescue Greer when she is taken hostage and the CIA disavow her. Greer and Ladd have to learn to trust each other and count on each other when Greer and Ladd are being sought after. I love this series and seeing all the different people again. Sawyer Bennett never disappoints

So much fire 🔥
First, I want to say that I really enjoy how Sawyer Bennett connects all her books. We get a small snippet from her hockey series in this book and it just reaffirms the world that Bennett is creating. Disavowed starts out with some major action… I was on the edge of my seat listening to this. It was so good that I forgot I was cleaning and just stood there listening. Then we go into some heat and Lordie, Bennett knows what she’s doing there! I couldn’t listen to this one fast enough. It was the perfect amount of suspense and romance; these are my favorite kind of books. It’s like a compulsion to read them because the action is just so intense. Add in the second chance romance and I couldn’t get enough of Ladd and Greer. Greer is my favorite type of female character. She’s ruthless and totally kick butt but she also has a heart and can be vulnerable. Ladd is ruthless. He storms the castle for his woman and I loved that… it had me right from the start. When these two cunning people come together something amazing happens and they transform into sweet and loving but still with the spice.
The narration by Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon was the BEST! Hamilton seems to play these strong, alpha males flawlessly. He has just enough edge to him to make it seem sexy but the heart is still there. Mallon was amazing as Greer. I’m not used to Erin Mallon playing such a hard woman but she did it with perfection. Greer also has some soft spots and I think Mallon was able to handle her character’s personality amazingly.

Suspense, action, heart!
Sawyer Bennett has to be one of the most read / listened to authors of mine. There is just this feel good, like coming home factor to them that makes me connect with every single book. This one was no different. In fact, I think it’s safe to say I love her Jameson Security series even more than all her brilliant hockey series.
So, CODE NAME: DISAVOWED. This is Greer and Ladd’s story and filled to the brim with suspense and action and sizzle. Add in the second chance trope and two of my very favorite narrators – Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke – and I didn’t realize how fast the minutes flew by while listening.

good but....
Overall this book was good but there were a few things I didn’t like. I liked Lad and his relationship with his child and his ex. And naturally I liked the whole Jameson thing. What I didn’t like was Greer and her whole women can do anything men can attitude, it got her in trouble many times. No one ever treated her like that so I felt there was no need for the attitude, it irritated me a lot. She also battled the relationship at every turn then when she and lad finally got together it felt as if the story rushed forward too fast. I like more of a slow burn. Narration was great.

An Exciting & Thrilling Ride! Exceptional Listen🎧📚🎧
Sawyer Bennett’s “Jameson Force Security” series is one of my favorite series and worlds to visit and get lost in because I know once I start one of its books, I get so engrossed in the story that nothing around me matters. They are escapism at its best and speaking of escapism, there is some of that happening in this book and it is done in the most exciting of ways, the Jameson Force Security way. All the books in this series can be enjoyed on their own but I highly recommend them all and to enjoy them in order of publication, each book features a different member of the team and several characters reappear as secondary characters in each other’s books and knowing them and their story adds another layer of depth to the over-all picture and world building. No worries if you are starting the series with this book, all the need to know information is included and explained but you will love this book so much you will want to read and/or listen to all the other books. This book is Lad McDermott and Greer Hathaway’s story, Lad a former agent for the CIA works for Jameson Force Security. Kynan gets a rescue mission from the director of the CIA to rescue and an undercover agent who’s identity and mission was compromised and is being held prisoner in San Salvador, the CIA disavowed the agent and will not be part of the rescue mission. Lad has history with the agent, Greer Hathaway, and volunteers to do the mission. Greer and Lad not only worked together in the past but they were engaged to be married, but Greer got cold feet and broke it off. She broke Lad’s heart but he was determined with what he wanted in life and found a way to move on. They had not seen each other since their breakup, well he has not seen her but it is clear that the chemistry between them never sizzled out. When the mission is over they each go their own way, except it is not over, there is retaliation from the fall out in San Salvador and gang members are sent to take her out in her home in California. Not having the CIA to back her she turns to Kynan and JFS for protection. I love how everything played out in this book, it is an action packed, brilliantly plotted story that has plenty of drama, thrilling suspense, twists and turns, a touch of angst, heartfelt emotions and a romance that was meant to be. Sawyer Bennett, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Sawyer Bennett cast the perfect narrators to bring her characters and story to life, Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon are wonderfully talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that was the right fit for their character’s persona, sounding believable in every role they played and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Teddy Hamilton nailed it as Lad, Erin Mallon did the same for Greer, both were badass in their roles just as the characters were. Their voices and performances complemented each other’s nicely, they set the perfect tone for the story and captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

This series just gets better and better
Ladd McDermott - what an honest to god hero. Well he’s certainly my hero, not a bad word to say about him. Perfect ex husband, perfect dad, and perfect candidate for a second chance romance with the love of his life. Enter disavowed CIA operative Greer Hathaway. Between them they messed up what could have been a perfect relationship/marriage 12 years earlier. Although if that had worked out we wouldn’t have had the adorable Ethan to entertain us throughout. He was truly delectable, each scene he was in was just wonderful. Anyway, back to the story, it’s Jameson Force Security, so there’s lots of action, plus lots of explosive drama as Ladd and Greer reunite, both in and out of the bedroom. Lots of suspense and a whole lot of romance. Narrated to absolute perfection by two of my favourites, Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon, who pretty much knocked the narration out of the ballpark. Highly enjoyable, highly addictive action romance.
