Summary
Spensa's life as a Defiant Defense Force pilot has been far from ordinary.
She proved herself one of the best starfighters in the human enclave of Detritus and she saved her people from extermination at the hands of the Krell—the enigmatic alien species that has been holding them captive for decades. I enjoyed it!
It's more of a fantasy adventure in disguise with sci-fi elements, then sci-fi. I mean there's no scientific explanation for ascended AIs, merging with ascended creatures, and so on, but I digress...
I hope the next one is coming, cause the story doesn't feel finished.

I wasn't sure at the beginning, but loved it! I also love how the narrator does M-Bot, masterful!

Nice but meh?
I really appreciate this one! Spensa was made for an adventure like this. But I got a bit bored halfway through. Though it was still a good read! I will look forward to the next one!

Just a little Alice in Wonderland kinda book
This was not my favourite, but a good book nonetheless. The author seems to be rather too philosophical for my liking.

The story did interesting things worldbuilding-wise but had worse story than the previous one. The performance was still great though.

Cytonic - fantastic
Starts exactly where book 2 left off. I’ve loved this series and it’s experimental worlds. The characters are easy to relate to and the storyline moves along a a good pace. Good ending. ***** 5 stars
