Great set of stories!
I was gifted this book and decided to buy the first two in the series so I could listen to them in order. I'm so glad I did! A really fun set of several novellas in each book following lesbian Stetson Goody, the crime-busting main character, who, whilst appearing to the public as the female assistant who takes bookings and runs the detective agency for the secretly non-existent Mr Xavier Wellington, shielding him from the public and his customers, IS actually the mysterious detective herself, and solves many crimes not only in the undercover role of the male detective but as other male characters too. Throw in a bit of Victorian lesbian romance and you've got a very enjoyable set of books.

Another winner
These are such excellent stories bringing together a tender romance with interesting, Sherlock Holmes type mysteries. I’m a huge fan of Edale Lane’s period works and look forward to her next novel.

More wonderful Stetson tales
The third of the Stetson books of short stories and I love it just as much as the previous two.
The narrator, Jennifer Lewis has such a perfect voice for telling these stories, it's like a mug of hot cocoa for my ears.
Again, the stories aren't wholesome, but they're somehow told in a comforting way, I loved the ongoing mystery that ran through these stories, excellent ending.
As long as Edale Lane writes Stetson stories, and Jennifer Lewis narrates them, I will listen. Repeatedly, I have listed to each one at least three times now and I will continue to do so.

FANTASTIC VICTORIAN SLEUTH. ❤
This is a delightful Victorian crime buster story that is cleverly written, exploring the hardships of a woman's lot in society. It is fun, romantic and sad all rolled up into bite sized chunks, an exquisite delicacy. ❤
Jennifer Lewis is exceptional in her performance and narrated this audio book brilliantly. 🎶

Interesting characters + Intriguing stories = Delightful listening
This is a collection of separate cases that I found well developed and believable. I don't want to say much more for fear of giving too much away. Just rest assured it is well developed and ties together nicely. No gimmick or tricks, its a well written work of intrigue and romance. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I like Victorian England and how the author inserted historical tidbits here and there without being intrusive. This enjoyable audiobook wouldn't have been made possible without the delightful voice of the narrator. I shall miss her tomorrow.

Glad times have changed
This was an interesting story. I’m so glad we have come a long way from there.
It certainly hits home how lucky we women are nowadays.
I loved the characters. They had great chemistry.
I would recommend reading this even if it just proves how far women have come from 1800.
