About this listen

Beautiful book about the war in France
A beautiful book about the war while you live in France.
What the Germans did to Jews people.
How Jews were living and treated.
How the love between people make you do incredible things during the war.
That after a while in war you can make amazing decisions.
That there were Germans that were protective towards Jews.
That there were horrible Germans while they were living in houses with French woman and her kids.
That women are strong while their men were away.
That everyday was hard. You never knew if there was food available.
That women and kids have seen ugly things and that all those women needed to look after their kids while being in horrible situations.
That there were amazing women who tried to help Jewish kids who were born in France, who were left alone while there mums were brought to camps in Germany.
It is a story about family.
it is a story about choices nobody would love to make, but needed to do.
Through war there are lots of people who are trying to forget the war and who will have lots of pain.
This book gave me some light on how my own ancestors have lived in The Netherlands and what generations after the war still are coping with. A war can have a major effect on generations to come. I can see it in my family.
May we all find peace. ❤
