About this listen
Lukas Boston suffers a bad start to his day. There's a ghost standing in the corner of his bedroom, Lukas got too drunk the night before and he can't remember his new girlfriend's name, and when he opens his window for a breath of fresh air, a sniper puts a bullet in Lukas' wall. His landlady is going to hate that.
Welcome to the world of Lukas Boston, a private investigator who attracts cold-blooded killers, hot-blooded women, and really unhelpful ghosts.

Maybe you're not as stupid as you smell
Lucas Boston is now a private investigator with friends in the police department: he'd been there, too, himself some years before but jumped before they could throw him out. So when the ghost of an old con thought dead five years before, suddenly appears in his room and then, shortly after, a very real bullet is fired at him, he decides to looking again at the old drugs case when Gavin, the ghost, first went missing and seeks the help of old colleague Detective Sergeant Pete Goodall. In return, Pete asks a favour of Lucas - to call on a lady whose cat was missing. But although she might love her cat, she's out for a lot more than it's simple return ...
What an excellent 'find' this book was. Not having previously heard of the author, I took a chance, requested and was generously gifted a complimentary copy by the rights holder, via Audiobook Boom. Thank you so much - it was an absolute delight, from the quirky characters, through bizarre situations to the mystery itself, the laugh out loud humour and the great narration by the author himself. So often this latter can prove disastrous, but not this time. Mr.G.M.Hague relates his first person text with whit and eloquence, catching the personality of P.I. Logan to perfection as well as giving skillful voice to the other protagonists. His Australian accent, obvious but not overly pronounced, gives further colour and enriches the story.
There are ghosts, but this is far from being a paranormal story. It is a glorious mystery romp with thrills and lots of fun.
I hope to see a lot more of Lukas Boston.

A poor mans James Bond with a paranormal twist
Would you listen to Dead Wrong again? Why?
To be honest its unlikely I would listen to the book again ( not in the near future anyway) as although I enjoyed the story overall the parts where the main character had his erm encounters shall we say without giving anything away were more, to me, appealing to a guy as they I presume is what many men daydream about even though you only getting the setting, not as you might say the action. That was very well done I have to admit, you really do 'see 'the scene in your mind.
The author really has a great way with words.
I will listen to the rest of the books in the series as they become available on Audible but whether I will want to read them again only time will tell
What was one of the most memorable moments of Dead Wrong?
Nothing really as one event followed another until the end all very similar in some ways even though they all helped the story along.
Have you listened to any of G.M.Hague’s other performances? How does this one compare?
First one.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Nothing as not that type of book
Any additional comments?
Overall its a great easy listen book which though I feel will appeal to guys more it still has its attraction for woman - can I call it a mans chick lit although the author leaves more to your imagination than many of them and to me that is a mark of a good book rather than everything spelt out as you might say. Your imagination, in my opinion, should always be made to work when listening ( or reading) a novel otherwise its like reading a textbook.
So if you want a quick enjoyable read with a dash of paranormal I would say read it.
I was giving this book free in the hope I would give a fair and honest review and I have tried my best to do this.
