Who killed a dying man?

Another enjoyable Cedar Bay mystery with Kelly and Sheriff Mike. This book made me sad at parts because the dead man was Mike’s friend, he already had a medical death sentence and his relatives were selfish and scheming. As always, Dianne Harman plots another great cozy mystery and Kasey Logan’s narration brings the characters to life. Highly recommended.

Accident, murder or suicide? It keeps you guessing

I enjoyed this book. This is book 17 in the Cedar Bay Cozy Mystery Series and it's just as good and fresh as the very first book. It's an easy listen and with plenty of suspects to keep you guessing who the killer was, as well as if it was even an accident, murder or suicide. The characters were great and I like the fact that both the husband and the wife find clues to solve the problem, this does mean the story is told by multiple characters. There is a number of returning characters from previous books, giving you the small town feel to the book and it was great catching up with them. I did thing the subject of cancer or the death of Mike's best friend might have been a tear-jerker but that wasn't the case and I found myself enjoying the guessing game as the story unfolded.
Mike's best friend has cancer and knowing his wishes will not go down well with the rest of the family he asks Mike to be executor of the will. He informs them that once the will has been changed two thirds of them will only receive half of what they are expecting. Then Mike gets a phone call to say his friend died in a boating accident. Not able to face the pain the cancer was going to cause was it suicide? With his wife on board Mike doesn't think so. Accident? The couple had been seen drinking a lot and it was late at night. Or was it murder? The more Mike and Kelly talk to people the more the pair suspect maybe. But with everybody pointing the finger at different family members they will have a hard time finding out what really happened on that night.
I liked the narrator she speaks clearly and you have no problems telling which character is talking.
