About this listen
One chance. That's all I’ll have. Along with a choice I can't possibly make.
In just a few weeks, I’ve gone from living in a psychiatric hospital, to learning I have magic, to joining a secret society of witches. I've also had to come to terms with both what I am and where I came from. Half demon, half witch, born in the demon real - a magical mutation created for sacrificial purposes. It's so nice knowing that the woman who raised me only did so because she was planning to spill my blood on her sacrificial altar. So, yeah. No wonder I went crazy.
Since joining the ranks of the Shadow Order, I’ve made friends and enemies. I also fell in love with a kind and sexy guy named Kai. Now, that love has been stolen from me by the same monsters that want to steal my magic. With the clock ticking down on what’s left of Kai’s life, I need to come up with a solution fast. So far, I've got nothing. Meanwhile, werewolves and vampires are turning up dead, seemingly at the hands of witches. Not surprisingly, those other tribes are calling out for blood. Like that’s not enough, witches are being exposed and threatened by a new group calling themselves the Hunters. And what do they want, exactly? Just the eradication of our kind entirely. Then there's the deal I make with a Fae goddess, which at first looks like it might provide me with what I need to defeat my enemies. Instead, it leaves me facing an impossible choice. I'll have to either leave Kai to his fate or doom everyone else.
Crossroads Witch is a fast-paced, unpredictable new urban fantasy series! If you like snarky kickass heroines, fast-paced action, magic, witchcraft and romance, then get it today!

A very imaginative world of magic and mice.
Disclaimer: I was provided a copy of the book free of charge in exchange for an honest review.
Well...what a ride. Following on from book 1 (which I have a paperback of and not audio), I found that the trials and tribulations of Amaya work really well as Audio and thoroughly enjoyed Amy Hall's narration, it perfect encapsulates the characters naivety and snark, as well as the menacyle of the demons got on her tail.
This book seemed a lot more balanced than the first, with less frantic pace as Amaya gets to grips with the new balance of power all the while fighting back against the horses seeking to break the fragile peace. But there are amazing moments of levity and comedy, with the secret agent mouse being a personal favourite.
Withab slight tone down of some elements, I'd happily give this to my daughter to enjoy but I think she's still a little too young for the series but I lost definitely will introduce her in a few years as she's have a real blast with the series.

Demon Soul
Malcom made well built characters and Hall brought them to life. I have loved everything about this series so far.

A good series to settle into
The synopsis of the book outlines the previous book pretty well and where the story heads.
Thankfully there was no real spoilers, but yes, the book does carry on from the previous one and now we know she has to come to terms with what it means not only to be both a demon and a witch, but dealing with being either.
The story itself continues on from the last book and while it felt a bit slow in places, it progresses nicely. Like the previous book, it doesn’t go by the standards of a normal witch book (if I can even call it that now) that I was expecting. There is enough alternative thinking and ideas, characters and plots added to this book that I was kept happy.
You’re going to want to read the next book, so set aside a credit.
Thankfully the narration was by Amy Hall again (as is the entire series) and the performance was just as good as the previous book. She’s continued to knock it out of the park on that front. Excellent job.

Good continuation
Although I read the 1st book this audio keeps the quality of the plot and greatly enjoyed the narration.

Can't Wait!
This book picks up where book 1 ends. I'm enjoy listening to the narrator and I adore the author for writing these books and continuing with the story and the characters. On to the next book!
