Der Miesepups haust in einer finsteren, unaufgeräumten Baumhöhle und könnte sich immerzu aufregen. Zum Beispiel über das Kucks, dieses dünne, rothaarige Gewackel! Jeden Morgen steht es mit einem Geschenk vor seiner Tür und fragt ihn: "Darf ich dich heute ankucken?" Das Kucks findet ihn nämlich schön. Zwar erscheint dem Miesepups eine Drei-Wünsche-Fee, doch irgendwie reichen die Wünsche nie aus, damit das Kucks verschwindet. Eines Tages aber tritt er vor seine Höhle und lässt das Kucks kucken. Und dann gehen sie zusammen los. Das Kucks hüpft, der Miesepups trampelt. Zusammen klingen sie wie ein schönes Lied.
