About this listen
Damian Tate. One look into his sad green eyes and I was hooked. I wanted to be the one to make him laugh, to make him smile. I hadn't expected him to be the one to make me blush, to make me hot...to make me fall in love. He was my first kiss, my first love, my first everything. I wanted forever with him, but life got in the way.
He enlisted, I went to college, and for years we were never in the same place long enough to pick up where we left off.
Thirteen years after he left, tragedy brought him home. The stoic boy I fell in love with grew into a quiet, dangerous and wildly sexy man. He still tugs on all the right strings for me, but he seems determined to keep me at arm's length.
However, when trouble comes knocking at my door, he is the one to put himself between that trouble and me.
Spending time with him might drive me insane, or it might be our second chance at first love.
Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for listeners under the age of 18.

Five perfect stars
Holy moly I was an emotional wreck! My heart ached for Damian and Thea, so much, I was desperate for them to get their HEA, a HEA that they desperately deserved. I cried so much during the first chapters. Damian was so broken, his love for Thea so pure, his hatred for his mother always taking the lead. I hated his mother, I hated what she did to him and how she made him feel. I understood why Damian went away (I didn’t like it, but i understood), as did Thea. This book was perfect. The story, the characters, the angst, the drama, the action, the romance, everything! It had it all. Just perfect. Tracy Marks as usual narrated dual POV perfectly, she lost me in the story.

Speechless
OMG , WOW JUST WOW!!!!
What a story, it had me in tears before chapter 6, giggling and laughing at Thea's sarcasm and sense of humour. Such a powerful love story together with a murder mystery of this is book 1 of a new series then I really can't wait for more to be released on audible. Congratulations to the author on a fantastic book, and to the narrator for a brilliant performance.
Highly reccomended

Wow!!! What a story!
The books by this author (L.A. Fiore) keep getting better and better. I wish that Yoga-man and Razor each get their own stories told. This book went full journey in its love story along with having a murder mystery aspect to boot. The author did great creating interesting characters that had so many layers. I loved the various facets this book had. The narrator (Tracy Marks) is one of my favorite performers due to her ability to give distinguished voices for the various characters and she puts so much emotion into the performance. I loved this combination and can not recommend it enough. I requested a review copy Audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. My review is not a synopsis of the book but rather my opinion of it. I loved Theo, Damian and Aiden while being intrigued by Yogaman and Razor. The twists this book had were so good and unexpected. I love it when I do not figure out who the murderer is. This is a standalone listen and part of a series.
